On both sides of the family we have a lot of C/Katherines and we’d like to honor them but without using C/[name]Katherine[/name]. I thought about [name]Kate[/name] but then decided it’s a little too choppy for our taste. The C/Katherines is our life currently go by [name]Cathy[/name] and the other two are both [name]Katie[/name]. Then I thought about using some combo of their mns to honor them, but their mns are [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Rose[/name], and [name]Lee[/name]. Can you guys think of any one name combos of those three? Or am I overreaching? Other suggestions?
I love [name]Wren[/name] or [name]Ren[/name] as a nn for C/[name]Katherine[/name]. I also really like [name]Kit[/name]. Not sure if either is your style, or how you feel about [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Wren[/name] together (I think it’s cute).
I do like [name]Wren[/name] and we’d be using this as a mn so it would work with [name]Ruby[/name] still (I wouldn’t use it as a fn bc I don’t want to commit to the r sound for all future girls lol).
There are tons of names that you can make with these! [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Beth[/name] or [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Belle[/name] were the first combinations that came to mind, but do you mind another R fn? I think my favorite from these names is [name]Liza[/name] [name]Rose[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]/[name]Kathleen[/name], because I think [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Liza[/name] would be a great sibset.
[name]Betsy[/name], [name]Bette[/name], or [name]Beth[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Beth[/name] or Rosebeth [name]Lee[/name] or better, [name]Rose[/name] [name]Beth[/name]/Rosebeth [name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Lizabeth[/name]/[name]Lisbet[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Bethany[/name] Rosabel
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name] or [name]Roslyn[/name]/[name]Rosalyn[/name]
[name]Belinda[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Beth[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Libby[/name] [name]Kate[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name])
[name]Eliza[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
I dont know how you feel about double names, but any name with [name]Kate[/name] at the end would honor them in my opinion
We love double mns (I have two mns myself) and definitely plan on giving all of our children two. I liked [name]Kate[/name] to honor them all too but dh feels it’s too choppy. We are looking to do the honoring as mns so letters/sounds don’t really matter. I really like [name]Rosalie[/name]! Maybe just an [name]El[/name]- name for the other and those could work as a catch-all?
