Hello! So I was thinking about trying the whole two middle names thing. Right now our top girl names are [name]Veronica[/name], [name]Bianca[/name], & [name]Azalea[/name]. Though the DH says it’s [name]Veronica[/name]
I would like to use [name]Rachel[/name] in the name to honor my sister, but I feel like [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] is a little too “blah” for me. I really need help on this! Or should I just go with a different middle name altogether?
Thanks & hope you guys can help!
This would be a sister to [name]Felix[/name], his middle name is [name]Newton[/name], after Sir [name]Isaac[/name]
I think the R is [name]Veronica[/name] and [name]Rachel[/name] run together so putting a 2nd middle in between would be a great idea. Looking at your signature I like [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] or [name]Veronica[/name] [name]June[/name] [name]Rachel[/name].
I really like [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Thisbe[/name]/[name]Veronica[/name] [name]Thisbe[/name] [name]Rachel[/name]. Either way is adorable.
[name]Felix[/name] [name]Newton[/name] is just dashing!
Good luck!
[name]Veronica[/name] & [name]Bianca[/name] feel really similar even with a middle between them. [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Azalea[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] breaks up thevRs & adds some sparkle imo.
I love [name]Veronica[/name] nn [name]Vera[/name] or Vinka.
In a way [name]Veronica[/name] & [name]Azalea[/name] might be floral overload to some, but I think it works.
rachelemma~ I thought about [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Azalea[/name], too. I like it, but is it too long? That is what worries me with the two middles. I don’t want it to seem like I’m trying too hard.
theatrenut23~ I like [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] [name]Thisbe[/name]! Still worrying about it being too long though…
taz~ [name]Veronica[/name] & [name]Bianca[/name] are names we are considering for the top spot. I agree, they are both way too similar to be put together! I do think [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Azalea[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] is pretty…
lori johnson~ [name]Bianca[/name] [name]Juno[/name] was our top girl pick for a very long time! So funny that you came up with the same pairing! I guess it has to go back on the table now
I think that since your first child has 1 middle, it would be better to stick with that for your daughter. Not that I think he’ll get his heart broken that his little sister got an extra name, I just prefer consistency in sibsets.
You can do two middles, we’re doing it and I’m sure it will be fine. I like [name]Bianca[/name] [name]Juno[/name] though, very spunky next to [name]Felix[/name] [name]Newton[/name]. I think it would be cool if you found an amazingly cool woman to name your daughter after, since you named your son after sir [name]Issac[/name].
Not a fan of two middles unless it is customary in your culture (like in the UK). I think it comes across as pretentious and kind of obnoxious, like your little princess is just so special she has to have 4 names instead of 3.
I much prefer [name]Bianca[/name] [name]Juno[/name] to [name]Veronica[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] or [name]Veronica[/name] anything else. I think it goes much better with your son’s name.
There are several members of my family I’d like to honor by using their names as middles, but I wont — because they’re “blah” names! Sometimes it’s better to pick a name that is inspired by a family name, rather than the name itself. For instance, my mother’s name is [name]Sara[/name]. (Blah!) I’m considering [name]Seraphina[/name].
I agree, ottilie! The problem is that so many of the great women in history had pretty traditional names… [name]Jane[/name] Goodall and [name]Marie[/name] Curie, for example, are two of our favorites. I also loved [name]Portia[/name] in [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s Merchant of [name]Venice[/name].
So, tonight while my husband & I were putting our little [name]Felix[/name] to bed a name popped into my head! I love it and it is filled with meaning for us! I wanted to get your opinions because I was saddened when I typed/wrote the name. It doesn’t LOOK as pretty as it SOUNDS
My husband was called [name]Noah[/name] for 2 or 3 days after his birth before his parents got nervous and went with a much safer name. I still think he was meant to be a [name]Noah[/name]!
[name]Jane[/name]- a family name for me and also the name of my favorite woman in history- [name]Jane[/name] Goodall. I am an animal lover, to say the least, and her stories have always inspired me. I dreamt of being like her!
[name]Willow[/name]- When I was a little girl we would have pretend weddings under the willow tree in my babysitter’s back yard. I have loved them ever since. They seem magical to me.
So, what do you guys think of the name? I think a little “[name]Noa[/name] [name]Jane[/name]” would be so cute! But it just doesn’t look right to me in written form :-/
I think [name]Noa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] sounds adorable! Type form, you’re right, it’s just ok. But hand-written, I think it looks better, and it feels like it would be a fun name to write.
[name]Felix[/name] and [name]Noa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] work great together too, and I love your associations with [name]Noa[/name], [name]Jane[/name], and [name]Willow[/name]!
So would it be [name]Noa[/name] (first) [name]Jane[/name] [name]Willow[/name] (middle)? Or should it be [name]Noa[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (first) [name]Willow[/name] (middle)?
