TTC, wdyt of our list so far

My husband and I are ttc and this is the list we have come up with so far. All the middle names are family names in honor of someone. Tell me what you think…

Girls:
[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] (I know some don’t like [name]Quincy[/name] for a girl, but we love it!
[name]Romy[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Mamie[/name]
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Evan[/name]

Boys:
[name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name] (nn [name]Finn[/name])
[name]Tate[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name] [name]Lee[/name]
[name]Gideon[/name]
[name]Titus[/name]

Thanks!

I think you have a lot of great names to work with, but there are a few odd ducks in there as well. I would stick with the classics, since that seems to dominate your list and therefore would provide provide the best foundation for pairing any future siblings, and also, of course, because you just can’t go wrong with a classic.

Girls:
[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] (I know some don’t like [name]Quincy[/name] for a girl, but we love it! - I am one of those who doesn’t like [name]Quincy[/name] for a girl, though I do like it for a boy. Also, remember if you use this, it’s hard to pair later with sister [name]Charlotte[/name], for example. [name]Pearl[/name] is wonderful!
[name]Romy[/name] [name]Helena[/name] - [name]Romy[/name] feels a little bit too nicknamey to me. Perhaps you would like [name]Romilly[/name] or [name]Ramona[/name]? [name]Helena[/name] is another great middle!
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] this combo! It’s beautiful. The only concern here would be [name]Violet[/name]'s rising popularity. [name]Annabel[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] are both beautiful names that could also work in the first name spot.
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Mamie[/name] - I love [name]Charlotte[/name]! [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Mamie[/name] is cute, but I’m wondering if [name]Mamie[/name] is short for something? If so, maybe you could use the full form? There’s something sort of odd about the elegant [name]Charlotte[/name] against such a cutesy name. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Helena[/name], and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] also make great combos.
[name]Halle[/name] [name]Evan[/name] - I REALLY don’t like [name]Evan[/name] for a girl. If [name]Evan[/name] is someone you really want to honor, and you end up having a girl, you should consider a variant like [name]Eva[/name] or [name]Eve[/name]. [name]Halle[/name] feels very trendy.
[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Hattie[/name]? If so, would you consider something like [name]Harriet[/name] or is that too vintage?

Other girls’ names you might like:
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]Lillian[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name]

Boys:
[name]Griffin[/name] [name]Jame[/name] (nn [name]Finn[/name]) - Did you mean [name]James[/name] in the middle? If so, I love this whole combination!!
[name]Tate[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - [name]Tate[/name] feels very abrupt, not to mention feminine (not that I would recommend it on a girl, but I do think of it more as a girl’s name). I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Robert[/name]!
[name]Ezra[/name] [name]Lee[/name] I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Ezra[/name]! [name]Lee[/name] in the middle feels very weak, though. If [name]Lee[/name] is someone you really want to honor, maybe you could use this as a girl’s middle and in a variant form like [name]Lena[/name] or [name]Lenora[/name]?
[name]Gideon[/name] - I love [name]Gideon[/name]!!
[name]Titus[/name] - This is just too much, I think!

Other boys’ names you might like:
[name]Reuben[/name]
[name]Solomon[/name]
[name]Nathaniel[/name]
[name]Quentin[/name]

I think [name]Halle[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] would be beautiful. I love both of those names. Personally not too sure about [name]Quincy[/name] and [name]Evan[/name] for a girl though. For boys, I love [name]Griffin[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name]. They were on my boy names list too. I like your style…not too common but not super out there either! Best of luck to you and hubby for a little blessing to be on the way soon!

I love the following:

Girls:
[name]Romy[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]

Boys:
[name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name] (nn [name]Finn[/name])
[name]Ezra[/name] [name]Lee[/name]

Well, my two girls are [name]Quincy[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Romy[/name] [name]Jane[/name], so you can guess which girls names I like the best! I also adore [name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name] nn. [name]Finn[/name] - the exact combo was at the top of our list for #3, but I was worried [name]Quinn[/name] & [name]Finn[/name] would be silly together. You really can’t go wrong, fabulous choices all around!

[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] - I’m not wild on [name]Quincy[/name] for a girl, but as it is balanced by the vintage, clearly feminine [name]Pearl[/name], I think this is a good combination.

[name]Romy[/name] [name]Helena[/name] - [name]Romy[/name] is very sweet, and [name]Helena[/name] is a lovely vintage name. You might like [name]Romilly[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name], which I think it stunningly glamorous. It could work as [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Helena[/name], but [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] sounds even better, due to the syllable variation.

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] - both of these names are so pretty - [name]Violet[/name] is one of my favourites. However, they are also both quite popular, so you might want to split them up? Perhaps [name]Violet[/name] [name]Helen/name or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mamie[/name], and then [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Annabel[/name].

[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Mamie[/name] - [name]Charlotte[/name] is a lovely classic, and offers good nicknames (the sweet [name]Lottie[/name], the spunky [name]Charlie[/name], the attention-grabbing [name]Chuck[/name]). I think [name]Mamie[/name] is a really sweet vintage choice, too, and a good alternative to the popular [name]Maisie[/name]. My only problem with this combination is that both names have two syllables. It’s not really a problem, it’s just something I personally like to avoid wherever possible. So, as I mentioned above, [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mamie[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] would be perfect.

[name]Halle[/name] [name]Evan[/name] - next to some of your other lovely choices, I find that [name]Halle[/name] feels a little modern and lacking in history (I wonder if [name]Helena[/name] nn [name]Halle[/name] could work?). I’m not wild about [name]Evan[/name] on a girl, but in the middle I don’t mind so much. However, as [name]Halle[/name] feels so modern, I would give it a more traditional middle to balance it - [name]Halle[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Halle[/name] [name]Annabel[/name].

I would name your daughters [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Mamie[/name] (I suppose you can’t really use both due to the repeating T endings, unfortunately). All three combinations are sweet, feminine, glamorous, timeless and with a little spunk about them.

Boys:
[name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name] nn [name]Finn[/name] - [name]Finn[/name] is quite popular, but that actually doesn’t bother me as it is so handsome, especially as a nn for the almost quirky [name]Griffin[/name]. [name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name] has great flow, and [name]James[/name] is such a classic.

[name]Tate[/name] [name]Robert[/name] - because of the double T endings, this one doesn’t have the best flow. I can’t say I’m a fan of [name]Tate[/name], to be honest, but you could try [name]Tatum[/name] nn [name]Tate[/name] which would alleviate the problem somewhat.

[name]Ezra[/name] [name]Lee[/name] - I adore [name]Ezra[/name] (so handsome) and this combination flows excellently. However, with [name]Lee[/name] is sounds quite feminine - the A ending and then [name]Lee[/name] (or [name]Leigh[/name]) trigger in my mind ‘girl’. [name]Ezra[/name] [name]James[/name], however, would be unbeatable handsome. ([name]Do[/name] you have any more family names you could use for the middle? Anything one syllable like [name]Charles[/name] or [name]Edward[/name]? Or longer, like [name]William[/name]? [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Charles[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name] [name]William[/name] are so handsome.)

[name]Gideon[/name] - interesting, unusual, Biblical but almost quirky - I like this one, although not as much as [name]Griffin[/name]. [name]Gideon[/name] [name]Lee[/name] and [name]Gideon[/name] [name]James[/name] both sound good.

[name]Titus[/name] - a well-loved [name]Roman[/name] emperor and one of the books of the Bible make this a good name, although the sound doesn’t win me over.

[name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name] [name]George[/name]/[name]Charles[/name]/[name]William[/name] would be my choice for you.

Good luck! [name]Auburn[/name]

The combos that you put together that I like the best:
[name]Violet[/name] [name]Annabel[/name] &
[name]Griffin[/name] [name]James[/name].

However, if you were to flip around the combos & experiment with multiple middles, I like:
[name]Ezra[/name] [name]Gideon[/name] [name]James[/name]–This one just stuck in my head. I think it’s just divine! Two strong, masculine, under-used Biblical names, plus a Biblical classic. It’s beyond handsome.
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name]–I love using [name]Romy[/name] as a nn for [name]Rosemary[/name], and it goes well with your style. [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] just seemed perfect to me, as long as you don’t think “hell in a pearl”. R. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is my second favorite, but I don’t know if it’s too color/flower-y ([name]Rose[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Pearl[/name]).

Good luck with your naming!
