There is a more generic 2017 ttc thread. Are there any momma or future mommas who are undergoing fertility treatments? It can be really tough stuff! I know looking at names is a light-hearted way for me to blow some steam off.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there, I will likely be joining you here if we don’t conceive before my annual appt in [name_f]February[/name_f]. We’ve been TTC for over 2 years now and will likely be moving on to a fertility specialist soon. I have PCOS and have had irregular cycles my entire life. I just finished a 119 day cycle, if you can even call it a cycle, no period for 4 months. Kind of puts a damper on “trying”. I hope you have great success with your IVF cycle!
@lainy Ugh, sounds awful! I recommend going, there is a lot of stuff they can do that is not IVF. [name_m]Just[/name_m] getting your cycles working might be enough. My one recommendation is to get a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist instead of hanging around with the OBGYN. The former will be much more familiar and practiced as it is all they do.

Thanks @revlon - I’m really hoping that my irregularity is the biggest issue and they we can get that figured out soon. I don’t think IVF will ever be an option for us financially.

I’m 34 ([name_m]WILL[/name_m] BE 35 IN [name_u]June[/name_u]) and we have been TTC 17 months now with no success. This month I gave up any kind of tracking as it was starting to stress me out, so we will see how things go from here.
I do have a number of health issues and am also overweigh- my goal for the new year is to work on losing the weight and I already have plan and a timeframe worked out- I just want to get through [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] first. I have an appointment with a fertility specialist in late [name_u]January[/name_u] to discuss our options. [name_m]Will[/name_m] keep you all posted.
