It’s a handsome combination. [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is beautiful, [name_m]Locke[/name_m] is cool - are you related to [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]? I’m not a big fan of [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] - the “carrying the world on his shoulders” thing makes my neck hurt to think about. But the cartography connection is neat, and the mountain range… “[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]” from [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u]’ “At Last” to honor your mother because she loves the song does seem a little contrived to me. But it’s a secret honoring name, so if it reminds you of your mother and you like it, I guess that’s all that matters.
I don’t mind the repeated “as” sounds, especially since you’ve got [name_m]Locke[/name_m] between them. Besides, [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] has an “ass” sound and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] an “iss” sound.
I really like [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]. It’s packed with meaning for you and the flow is good. I can’t imagine how you could find a better combo. I said it out loud with my 3 syllable last name that starts with “w” and contains “es” and it sounded fine, not repetitive at all unless you really think about it, and then it’s just kinda cool, not a problem. As far as visually, I didn’t even realize [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] both had “as” in them until you pointed it out. There are plenty of letters between that it doesn’t stand out, with [name_m]Locke[/name_m] between [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] and your last name it would be the same way. Not noticeable unless you think about it.
No, I am not related to a [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]. The -lock connection is only part of my mom’s maiden name, and I just choose to add the -e. For instance, Locksley or [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m] and took the [name_m]Lock/name_m.
I really like your combo. I can’t express how much I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], and I also love Greek mythological names, so [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] is great! And [name_m]Locke[/name_m] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] are really good, but subtle ways of honouring your mother (plus [name_m]Locke[/name_m] reminds me of [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m], which is an added bonus).
Seems like you were reading my mind. I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] so much, that I cannot express in words why. I have tried to replace it with a more traditional or acceptable name – like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], but I just keep coming back to it. I have had a couple of people frown at the name [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], but I have also had more that seem like they like it or can adjust to it.
I like the [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] combo. I found out recently that [name_m]Locke[/name_m] is a name of one of the characters that is on an X Box style game.
I think your combo is great and your reasoning for using [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] very sweet. I totally see and get it -> I think it’s clever.
You seem fairly set on the names and I’m not sure what tweaking advice you are asking for. But if I were to tweak the combo I would exchange [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] - as you worry about the semi-repetative -as- sound. The repetition would be the most notable in a fn and ln as those are the names used on a daily basis. The mn sounds only need to sound pleasing or have deep meaning to you.
Suggestions: (To keep with the 3 syllables fn - I assume it’s important since you mentioned it.)
[name_m]Cederic[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m] (Though I prefer [name_m]Cedric[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m] despite the repeating 2 syllables)
[name_m]Caius[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]
[name_m]Christian[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]/ [name_m]Cristobal[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]
[name_m]Cyprian[/name_m] [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] [name_m]Locke[/name_m]
