Twy-lah (Twy like Twilight)

Twy-lah for me. I’m in the UK.

Twy-la, UK here. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name!

Twy-lah for me (in the UK). Really hope this is how it’s pronounced as I love the sound

Twy-la! I think there was a [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] movie years ago that had the name in it - I vaguely remember my younger sister having toys of all the animals coordinating with the films, and one was named [name_f]Twila[/name_f]/[name_f]Twyla[/name_f] (as well as [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f]!), and it was pronounced as Twy-la. I’m not sure if that brings some familiarity to the pronunciation or not, but that’s why I say it the way I do.

This was my first thought. A cat from [name_f]Barbie[/name_f] and 12 dances princesses I think. I say Twy-la I’m from the US.

When I first read the name, I read it as TWILL-ah. Then, a couple years later, I was corrected, told that TWY-lah is the correct pronunciation. I still find it hard to associate TWY-lah with the name, but from my understanding, it is the only way to pronounce it. I’m in the U.S.

I’d say twy-la. From [name_f]Canada[/name_f].

I’d guess it’s supposed to be twy-la, but my mind always thinks TWEE-la.

I thought it was Twill-a, and I never understood the appeal of the name. Now that I see the dominant pr is [name_f]Twyla[/name_f], everything makes more sense!

Twy-lah. But I prefer the [name_f]Twyla[/name_f] spelling to make this clearer. Otherwise, it’s more Twee-lah, as in [name_f]Mila[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f].

I’ve always thought [name_f]Twila[/name_f] was twill-ah and [name_f]Twyla[/name_f] was twy-lah. The latter pronunciation does not roll of the tongue as well as the former for me, so I do prefer twill-ah.

Twy-la here! From the UK.

I’m from the UK and would say TWY-lah.

Twy-la for me and I’m UK, fab name with American [name_u]Texas[/name_u] vibes!
