What is everyone’s opinion of the twin set [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_m]Nash[/name_m] for twin boys? Last name also begins with N.
You’ve got the resident grump-twin - against same letter starting / matchy names for multiples. The twin relationship already feels intense and zero sum (identity wise) and often twins are called “the twins” - so I think it’s nice to not have another forced layer of connection through the name.
Your names are interesting because they’re alliterative but not the exact same style - so it’s not like [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] & [name_u]Kody[/name_u] or [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] & [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] is of course a Hebrew/biblical name - with (these days) a gentle/hip feel, while [name_m]Nash[/name_m] (an [name_f]English[/name_f] last name) has the more musician, outdoor, rugged feel. They both have somewhat of a cowboy feel but they wouldn’t be names I’d naturally put together style wise. In some ways that makes it better - as they’re more distinct from each other.
I would myself go:
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_u]Levi[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_u]Asher[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_u]Elijah[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_u]Ezra[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Hayes[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_m]Wells[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Brody[/name_u]
But I get you might want to do alliteration for both or neither - if neither, you could mix and match the non-N names (eg [name_u]Levi[/name_u] & [name_u]Asher[/name_u] or [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u] & Brooks).
If keen on alliteration N (which I would do for both or neither), maybe slight tweak so a little more stylistically in sync, eg:
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m] & [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]
But [name_u]Noah[/name_u] & [name_m]Nash[/name_m] might be more in sync where you are than they are where I am, so others on here might just give a simple “yes, it works”.
They feel and look a little similar for me, especially for twins - and the difference in popularity bothers me a little bit
I’ve always wanted to name twin boys- [name_m]Knox[/name_m] & Nash!!
You get the same beginning sound without the same initial.
I love Nash… I don’t love [name_u]Noah[/name_u] especially paired with [name_m]Nash[/name_m]. They’re visually too close being only 1 letter off but also seems like an odd pairing.
[name_u]Noah[/name_u] is so overly popular (with both genders now) while [name_m]Nash[/name_m] seems unexpected, masculine but cool.
Good luck!
It’s doable!
But I will echo some prior statements of matching, especially if alliterative with the surname also!
I think [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_m]Nash[/name_m] are great together !
