I’m due with fraternal twin boys in [name_f]September[/name_f]. I wanted to know your thoughts on naming them [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m]? We also like [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. Wondering if anybody has any input. Thanks!!
I think for me personally, I would find [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m] way too close to use together. And I do think [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] or even [name_m]Julien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] both sound nice together
[name_f][/name_f]That said I think if you truly love the names, or when they finally come the names [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m] seem to fit them, then why not use them
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Luce[/name_f] and [name_m]Jules[/name_m] as brother nicknames sound very cool together
[name_f][/name_f]And I know someone with 2 daughters who she’s named [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] and [name_m]Izzy[/name_m]. She has no issue with it and loved both names. And for me [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] and [name_m]Izzy[/name_m] are way closer than [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m] are

As most regulars know on here, I’m a twin and not keen on matchy matchy names [name_f][/name_f]- being a twin feels and is often approached like a zero sum game (if my twin is good at [name_f][/name_f]- or labelled good at [name_f][/name_f]- X, then I might as well not even try X, and will focus on Y).
[name_f][/name_f]In addition to avoiding labels & fostering a mastery mindset (lol), I think it’s important to have space in their identities with different names.
[name_f][/name_f]Your top pair is not super matchy-matchy as they have different starting letters but [name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] are almost rhyming so they wouldn’t be names I’d pick together [name_f][/name_f]- though I like them both.

They sound good together, but they are a little matchy. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combination would be [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] & [name_m]Julien[/name_m] together.

I personally feel like [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m] are a bit too similar in both sound and rhythm, which might cause some confusion as they grow up (especially when calling for one of them!).

As several others have already said, I think [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m] are just too close ending sound wise and look too matchy matchy on paper for twins. I love the way [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] sound together though, they have a lovely flow and give each twin a distinct sound. [name_m]Julien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] would be a nice pair too!
I prefer [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], it flows better.
I really like [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Julien[/name_m], but if you want something more distinct, I would go with [name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]!
