[name_f]My[/name_f] fiance and I are expecting twins and are looking for help in naming them.
We’re probably going to give them some mix of one or two of the following names for middle names:
[name_m]Alan[/name_m] - Fiance’s Godfather (they’re super close, he has a better relationship wth him over his real dad)
[name_m]Matthew[/name_m] - [name_f]My[/name_f] Dad
[name_m]John[/name_m] - Fiance’s late grandfather
[name_m]Tim[/name_m]/[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] - Fiance’s name.
Here are some names we like but can’t use for whatever reason (i.e. already in the family, etc):
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]George[/name_m]
Any recommendations on names? We tend to like names that are “uncommonly common” as in there won’t be too many in the class (i.e. they won’t be 1 of 6 [name_u]Luca[/name_u]'s), but the general public has still heard of them.
Here are some names that [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u], [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and [name_m]George[/name_m] remind me of. I aimed for names that are outside the U.S. top 100, but still ranked in the top 1000!
Taking some of the sounds from the names on your list I’d suggest [name_m]Landon[/name_m] or [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] as blend of [name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Alec[/name_m] is a great standalone name, if it’s not too close to [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] to be usable. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Anders[/name_m] or [name_u]Anderson[/name_u]?
[name_m]Gregory[/name_m] is like [name_m]George[/name_m] with the ending of [name_m]Henry[/name_m], or perhaps you might like [name_m]Grigor[/name_m]. Continuing with [name_m]George[/name_m], I’m also reminded of [name_m]Roger[/name_m], [name_m]Gordon[/name_m], [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Ford[/name_m].
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] shares the same ending as [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. In a similar vein is [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], [name_m]Julius[/name_m], [name_m]Duke[/name_m] and [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]. A little step further there’s [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] and [name_m]Duncan[/name_m].
For names like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] I might include [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] or just [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], [name_m]Harry[/name_m], [name_m]Henrik[/name_m], [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] and [name_m]Warren[/name_m]. What about [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] or [name_u]Roy[/name_u]?
Looking for twice as many names is hard. All the best with your search!
