We are expecting twin boys IN 3 DAYS!!! and have picked out the names [name]Lennox[/name] and Mackai. I like that both are masculine sounding and an have great short nicknames for boys- [name]Knox[/name] and [name]Mac[/name]
[name]Do[/name] you think these go well as a twin set and also we need some ideas for middle names. Our surname starts with F.
I think [name]Lennox[/name] and [name]Makai[/name] would be fine as twin brothers. I prefer the [name]Makai[/name] spelling because it means towards the sea in Hawaiian and looks less made up. [name]Knox[/name] and [name]Mac[/name] or even [name]Knox[/name] and [name]Kai[/name] would be great nicknames. [name]Do[/name] you have any family names for middles? Or a specific style?
There are no family traditions in terms of middle names. [name]Both[/name] their fathers and maternal grandfathers name is [name]Robert[/name] though.
[name]Do[/name] you think they match with DD - [name]Sierra[/name] [name]Eden[/name] [name]Fletcher[/name]
We are still open to suggestions and also like [name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Jensen[/name]
[name]Kendrick[/name]
[name]Henley[/name]
[name]Wyatt[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Lincoln[/name]
[name]Archer[/name]
Is Mackai your own spelling? I first read it as Mackal, like jackal with an M
I like both but wouldn’t put [name]Lennox[/name] and [name]Makai[/name] together. They’re mismatched. [name]Lennox[/name] feels dashing and classy while [name]Makai[/name] is laid-back and beachy.
Did you start with [name]Knox[/name] & [name]Mac[/name] and search for full names based on them? [name]IMO[/name] an awesome name like [name]Makai[/name] is wasted if he’s just going to be called [name]Mac[/name]. And looking at your other names make me wonder why you like [name]Makai[/name]. It doesn’t fit with the style of the others. [name]How[/name] about:
McKay
Maclay
[name]McCoy[/name]
I don’t think they go that well together but their your babies. I would prefer [name]Lennox[/name] and something like [name]Brennan[/name] or [name]Lennon[/name] and [name]Malachy[/name] but I think [name]Lennox[/name] and Mackai are fine.
I will echo the others and say I like [name]Makai[/name] better. It would make more sense, @beachbum, to call him [name]Makai[/name] (towards the sea) than to spell it Mckai. However, I have a very soft spot for [name]Kai[/name], and my choice would to use [name]Kai[/name] as the nn, not [name]Mac[/name]. I actually do like [name]Lennox[/name] and [name]Makai[/name] (Mackai) together, but like I said, I’d call the boys [name]Knox[/name] and [name]Kai[/name]. Good luck on their births!!
edit:
Do you like Malcolm? I like Malcolm with Lennnox quite a bit, and you could still use the nn Mac. Just a thought.
I, too, prefer the [name]Makai[/name] spelling. I think they’re fine together, but I do think [name]Mordecai[/name] is better suited to match [name]Lennox[/name].
[name]EDIT[/name]: i missed your last post…congrats on your son AND daughter!!!

I love them both. My baby will also be [name]Lennox[/name] if it’s a boy. [name]Lennox[/name] [name]Michael[/name] [name]Andrew[/name]. I think [name]Robert[/name] is a nice middle and cool that it’s a family name from both sides. Is there another grandparent or uncle or something whose classic name you like? I think the two unique gems [name]Lennox[/name] and [name]Makai[/name] sound best with a solid classic name.
I couldn’t choose between baby’s two grandfathers and feel forced to double-middle-name the poor kid…lucky you having twins so you get double the names Best wishes for the birth of your boys!
[name]EDIT[/name]: I just saw your updated post. Congratulations! [name]Makai[/name] and [name]Lia[/name] both seem like exactly the kind of names you were aiming for. I’m glad you went with [name]Makai[/name] (as you can see from the post I already made (below), I much prefered [name]Makai[/name] to [name]Lennox[/name]). Congratulations again!
I think [name]Makai[/name] (I MUCH prefer this spelling) and [name]Lennox[/name] go really well together. I personally prefer [name]Makai[/name] to [name]Lennox[/name] (by a relatively wide margin), but I do nonetheless feel they work really well together. In my mind, they both have a somewhat similar ‘feel’ to them, they both seem like names for laid-back, friendly and cool surfer kids.
Congrats on your little ones!!! [name]Makai[/name] and [name]Lia[/name] sound great together. What a fantastic surprise to get a little girl when you thought you were having 2 boys! I love that. You don’t get those type of surprises very often. Big, big congrats on both your little babies. Great names, too.
As you can imagine we hadn’t even thought of a girls name considering we thought we had two boys. Most amazing surprise.
[name]Lia[/name] popped into my head the minute my hubby announced she was a girl. He loved it. [name]Catherine[/name] is for her paternal grandmother, thought it was fair as [name]Robert[/name] was maternal grand father.
I’m glad people are saying [name]Lia[/name] goes with [name]Makai[/name] because honestly I hadn’t given it much thought when naming her . It just suited her instantly. They are night and day really. He’s dark where she is fair just like her older sister.
[name]Both[/name] are doing fantastically. But the double feeds are wearing me out already.
i have g/g twins named lennox and rowan. i think lennox is a lovely name for our little girl…tho lia is gorgeous and i love makai as well! i am currently pregnant and it’s going on my boy list!
