I’ve been a lurker here for many months and with the third trimester upon me, and two little boys on their way, I decided it was time I registered and asked for advice. The boys are assumed to be fraternal, if that matters to anyone’s thinking, and these are our first children–so no siblings to consider. I am trying to avoid overly matchy names and strike a balance between my love of literary names and my wife’s (we’re a same-sex couple) preference for traditional (“not weird,” as she’d put it). Here’s what we are mixing and matching:
I really love [name]James[/name], [name]Leo[/name], [name]Jonas[/name], & [name]Owen[/name]!
Congrats on your growing family to you & your wife!
Here are some suggestions:
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Emerson[/name]
[name]Waldo[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name]
[name]Ellison[/name]
[name]Elias[/name]
[name]Jonah[/name]
[name]Noah[/name]
[name]Noam[/name]
[name]Parker[/name]
[name]Damien[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]
I like [name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Dashiell[/name] together the most, but [name]Jarvis[/name] would also go nicely with either of those. (All of your choices are good, though, I’d say!)
My nine-month-old son is [name]Jonas[/name] so I’m a little biased. And if we have another boy we’ve discussed a couple of the names you mentioned. We like [name]Jonas[/name] with [name]Owen[/name] or [name]Leo[/name]. We also really like [name]Jonas[/name] and [name]Theo[/name].
