Not expecting yet, but will be ttc soon. I’ve seen a few things on here that made me think, “what if we have twins?”. I figured out a girl/girl set pretty quickly, but the boy names are more difficult for some reason. I’m also thinking about taking [name_u]Alden[/name_u] off the list. not because we don’t like it anymore, but because there are so many “a” names in our family already.
my girl/girl set would be [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] and [name_f]Jessa[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f].
I think a boy/girl set would be [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m] and [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f]. (our top boy and girl names)
My boy list (so far):
[name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m]
[name_m]Remus[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_m]Hadrian[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Griffon[/name_m]
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]
which names do you think work best for twin boys? (I am open to other suggestions, as [name_u]Alden[/name_u] might be coming off the list.)
I honestly wouldn’t think about twin names before knowing that I were expecting them.
I don’t like the sound of [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f], they run into each other.
For boys I’d use [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m] (prefer [name_u]Hayden[/name_u]) and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Griffon[/name_m] (or [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], or [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Alden[/name_u]).
Personally, I wouldn’t name twins any differently than siblings. They are still their own individual selves. I would choose my top names.
My favorites from you list are [name_m]Joel[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u]. If I could change things around, I think [name_m]Joel[/name_m] and [name_u]Hayden[/name_u] (I prefer this spelling) make a wonderful sibling set.
I absolutely love [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] [name_f]Irene[/name_f]. [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] is one of my favourite names, and [name_f]Irene[/name_f] is one of the only “old” names that I actually love!
I agree with a pp that I would just name them like I would name siblings. If [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m] is your favourite then I’d imagine you’d use that. I avoid [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m] then (which is too bad because I love [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m]!). I’d also say not [name_u]James[/name_u], because I don’t love the idea of twins with matching initials. That is hypothetical tho, I don’t think matching initials should be a dealbreaker. So that would leave [name_m]Remus[/name_m] and [name_u]Alden[/name_u]. [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m] & [name_m]Remus[/name_m] [name_m]William[/name_m]. [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m] & [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_m]Cooper[/name_m]. Both are great!
@columbiacharm- thank you! [name_f]Irene[/name_f] is the only name from my husbands family thats not horrible. my [name_f]MIL[/name_f] told me the names were bad and after a quick run through of the family tree, I agree with her. my family isn’t much better…
I am actually having this problem for if we end up with two boys in general. thinking about it, I’m just not sure what my “runner up” name is. My husband and I like all of them, [name_m]Joel[/name_m] [name_m]Haden[/name_m] just struck the right cords for both of us. The only other name that was close to that was [name_m]Hadrian[/name_m].
