Twin dream

My mother dreamt last night that I had boy-girl twins.

I’m not pregnant at the moment, nor even trying, though I’m engaged and my fiance and I have begun discussing it. We’re thinking in two years or so we’ll try.

My mother is a bit psychic and has a history of uncanny dreams… so her dream has been on my mind today. In reality, I think having twins would be extremely challenging-- in fact, when she told me the dream I felt immediate, piercing dread (!).

Naming them would be very fun though.

So, maybe to dispel some of the dread, would you all help me consider names? Here’s my list:

Girls:
[name_f]Judith[/name_f] (family name)
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosetta[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] (partner’s favorite)
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (with the nickname Cookie-- a wildcard name)
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f]
Gwenllian

Boys:
[name_m]Martin[/name_m]
[name_m]Joachim[/name_m] (nn Achim)
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Ingram[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Gram[/name_m])
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Cy[/name_m])
[name_m]Arvo[/name_m]

Middle names: likely they would be 2 family names that I don’t want to write out for how distinctive they are, but other possibilities (all with personal and/or less distinctive family meaning):
[name_f]Sojourner[/name_f] (g)
Nightingale (g or b)
[name_u]Reed[/name_u] (g or b)
Wildflower (g)
Makepeace (g or b)
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] (g)
Turiya (g or b)
[name_f]Ananda[/name_f] (g or b)

Our last name rhymes with “[name_f]Molly[/name_f]” and starts with an “S”. So yes, [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] both get a little hissy…

Firstly, I love [name_f]Judith[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], but I have to admit that a guilty pleasure nickname I have for it is [name_u]Peri[/name_u].
I like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m].
I saw Wildflower and it made me think that [name_f]Judith[/name_f] Oleander would be gorgeous.

[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]!

Thanks @felicitysmoak! [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] is really growing on me. I don’t dislike [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], either, but it also feels a little “retro” when we have no family connection to it.

@ashleyjuliette-- Oooh, Oleander is beautiful. But I think the fact that’s poisonous turns me off to it?

Also-- do you guys think [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] are too rhyme-y?

I personally do not think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m] is too rhymey.
I don’t know about Oleander…I am going to look it up.
I looked up Oleander and it is completely poisonous. Here is a list of non poisonous plants you might like:

Abelia
Aster
Begonia (except sand begonia)
Dahlia
Jade
Rose
Petunia
Hibiscus
Gardenia
Fuchsia
Forsythia
Butterfly tulip
Camellia
Eugenia
Easter Lily
Dandilion
(that list reminded me of Garland and Rosary)
