Twin for Kimberly

I’m looking for a twin sister name for [name]Kimberly[/name]. Older brother is [name]Thomas[/name] (goes by [name]Tom[/name] most of the time) and younger brother is [name]Patrick[/name]. The twin sister was taken at birth due to restrictions on the number of children each family is allowed, and [name]Kimberly[/name] only learns of her twin’s existence at the age of 16.

Was thinking of something like [name]Samantha[/name], similar in length and popularity and with a short nickname potential, but I think there could be a better fit than that.

The twin is going to go by a different name to her birth name (again, an undecided name but probably something short and plain - any suggestions?) but [name]Kimberly[/name] is going to refer to her by her birth name for quite a portion of the novel.

[name]Cassandra[/name] - [name]Cass[/name], [name]Cassy[/name]
[name]Savannah[/name] - [name]Anna[/name], Sav, Savy
[name]Alexandra[/name] - [name]Alex[/name]
[name]Abigail[/name] - [name]Abi[/name]/[name]Abby[/name] (I like this best with [name]Kimberly[/name], but it’s not really anything like [name]Samantha[/name]!)

[name]Katherine[/name]/[name]Kathleen[/name] - [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Katy[/name]
[name]Cristina[/name] (spell it however you want, honestly) - [name]Cris[/name]/[name]Tina[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] - [name]Carrie[/name]/[name]Carol[/name]/[name]Lina[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name] - [name]Amy[/name]/Ames
[name]Talullah[/name] - [name]Tal[/name]/[name]Tally[/name]
[name]Eleanor[/name] - [name]Ellie[/name]/[name]Elle[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name] - [name]Sue[/name]/[name]Susie[/name]

[name]Elizabeth[/name] - [name]Beth[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]/[name]Eliza[/name]/[name]Liz[/name]/[name]Lizzie[/name]

I also liked [name]Alexandra[/name] or [name]Abigail[/name] as jazz1509 suggested.

I like the suggestion of [name]Abigail[/name] a lot actually, and [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Christina[/name] and [name]Rebecca[/name] as well. I don’t think the parents would do matchy K names, but a C and a K name is quite matchy without being overly matchy, if that makes sense.

Personally, I wouldn’t see a classic, traditional Biblical name like Abigail or or the vintage Charlotte with Kimberly. When I think of this name, I would pair it with the following:

Kimberly and Allison
Kimberly and April
Kimberly and Candace
Kimberly and Christine
Kimberly and Danielle
Kimberly and Erica
Kimberly and Megan
Kimberly and Shannon
Kimberly and Nicole
Kimberly and Erin
Kimberly and Bridget
Kimberly and Jacqueline
Kimberly and Jillian
Kimberly and Alexis
Kimberly and Jessica
Kimberly and Brianna
Kimberly and Alyssa
Kimberly and Amanda
Kimberly and Lauren
Kimberly and Sarah
Kimberly and Angela
Kimberly and Belinda
Kimberly and Deanna

I like the name [name]Carissa[/name] a lot!

Think I’m going to go for [name]Kimberly[/name] and [name]Amanda[/name]. Thanks all

 I like [name]Amanda[/name]. It fits well with your original pick; [name]Samantha[/name]. In fact, they practically rhyme!

My name is [name]Kimberly[/name]. Names that I feel are from a similar time/popularity:

I really like [name]Sabrina[/name]!

[name]Elizabeth[/name]. The good old [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Nicknames [name]Bess[/name], [name]Beth[/name], [name]Lizzy[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Abby[/name] (yes, I know an [name]Elizabeth[/name] nn [name]Abby[/name])
