Twin girls, Cordelia and ???

We’re expecting twin girls any day now. I’m loving [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Cora[/name_f]) for one but I’m totally stuck on a name for the other. We like names that aren’t too popular, that are long with a short nickname. Middle names are likely to be [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].

Our older sons are [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u]), [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] ([name_u]Gus[/name_u]) and [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] ([name_m]Iggy[/name_m]).

I like but don’t love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (too popular).

Surname is Campton.

Help! [name_f]TIA[/name_f] xx

Adelaide or Adeline

[name_u]Love[/name_u] the [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] suggestions!
[name_f]Tilly[/name_f], [name_f]Addie[/name_f], and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]

We’ve a niece called [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and are in Australia where [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is super popular! I do adore the suggestion of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] or perhaps [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is lovely…

Gorgeous suggestions! I like the idea of [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] but wonder if [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] is a batter fit? [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Edie[/name_f] may be a front runner.

I do like [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f], using [name_f]Etta[/name_f] as the nn. But our eldest’s middle name is [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Does that matter? I like [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] with a nn of [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] but I worry about the pronunciation? Perhaps [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or even [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] would be simpler. I’d love your thoughts!

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] would be just lovely! [name_m]Just[/name_m] think–[name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Bea[/name_f]! [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are definitely my top suggestions.

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] nn [name_f]Goldie[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f] nn [name_u]Georgie[/name_u]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Della[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lou[/name_u]

Yes, I do agree BUT we have a niece called [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] which rules it out. I like your thinking though!

I personally wouldn’t call one of them [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] if one of her brothers name is [name_m]Henry[/name_m] (love his name!), just my personal preference. Although if you end up calling her mostly by her nickname it may not matter to much.

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] ([name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]) - Pronunciation not tricky I don’t think (I’m from australia)
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] - This is very in and trendy, also not common at all, very dainty and pretty which I love, you could also call her either Prim or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] like with [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] you could call her [name_f]Cora[/name_f] or [name_f]Delia[/name_f]. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and Prim are the sweetest combo

Oh sorry for the confusion, our eldest son’s middle name is [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! I do wonder if [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is too common? I see you’ve ottilie on your list, do you think Australian’s would butcher the pronounciation? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce it? I love [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] as a nn!

My guilty pleasure choice would be [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]!

I do like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! What nn would you use?

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrina[/name_f] - audra/ audri/ dina
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Judith[/name_f] - jodi/ judi/ jude
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f] - jessa/ jem/ jessi/ minnie/ jimmie
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]- pria/ sia/ pollie
