Hey berries,
My twin daughters will be born on [name_u]June[/name_u] 2nd. I know the names I love, and my husband likes them too- but I’m at a complete and utter loss for pairings. We’re pretty picky too- we don’t want the names to rhyme and we don’t want to repeat an initial anywhere, but we’d like the names to have roughly the same amount of syllables. Can you help us? Here are the names we’ve chosen for our girls (in no particular order)
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] (maybe [name_f]Eva[/name_f]?) and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
I really like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] but I would suggest [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (LOO-sha or loo-CHEE-a) in place of [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. I would assume that you had one girl and one boy as [name_u]Luca[/name_u] reads all boy to me. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are lovely too.
Congratulations on your twins! My favorites from your list are [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]–they’re all beautiful! I think these would be beautiful pairings:
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] ([name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] would be adorable!)
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] (they do have similar endings, but I don’t find them that matchy, tbh, because of the difference in length. I love these two together!)
I think these would also be lovely:
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] (too matchy?)
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
I agree with @whitegardenia that [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is all-boy to me. I think I’ve come across [name_m]Luka[/name_m]/[name_u]Luca[/name_u] (not sure on the spelling?) being a Hungarian (I think?) variant of [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], but it’s said like LOOTZ-zah, I think, not LOO-kah, and it just seems so different from your other favorites to me.
Evadne & Gwendolyn would be lovely. Iris & Eve would be my second choice for sisters. A lot of these are pretty though. I have to say I do see Luca as 100% boy also.
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] (I also agree that [name_u]Alex[/name_u] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] or [name_u]Lexi[/name_u] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] make a cute set)
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (this is my favorite pairing)
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] (love the repeated “y”s)
[name_m]Favorite[/name_m] of your names:
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
I agree [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] would be a better choice than [name_u]Luca[/name_u].
I’d also prefer [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] over [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f].
My favorite names are: [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]
My favorite parings are:
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] (or [name_f]Lila[/name_f]) [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_u]Alex[/name_u] / or [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] and [name_u]Lexi[/name_u]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
These are pairings of the names I like and think make good twin pairs:
[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and Elowyn (much prefer [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] spelling)
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]
where I live [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is a boy’s name.
I absolutely adore [name_u]Luca[/name_u] for a girl, though I prefer it spelled [name_m]Luka[/name_m]. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sound great together; also I like [name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
