Twin girls names!

Just gave birth to twin girls. We have 2 older kiddos, Penelope nn Poppy and Everett. We are thinking Vivienne and Celine. We live in the US with last name of french origination. Vivienne could get the obvious nn vivi, but wondering if Celine feels mature for a little one? But it’s such a gorgeous name. I get that she’ll grow but I’ve known a few little girls with this name and for some reason it feels like a big ask for a little girl.

1.) what do we think if Vivienne and Celine twin combo?
2.) is Celine wearable on a young kiddo?
3.) any other / better suggestions for a twin sister to vivienne? Can’t end in “O” sound as the last does.

We like classic yet slightly less common names with an international feel, ability to nickname a plus! Thanks!

I think your choices are great! Some [name_f]Celine[/name_f] nn ideas

[name_f]Cece[/name_f] (but too close to Vivi)
[name_f]Leni[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nea[/name_f]

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] are lovely! Sleek and stylish

I think [name_f]Celine[/name_f] sounds usable on a little one - it’s sophisticated but sweet too. She could have the nicknames [name_f]Cece[/name_f], [name_f]Celie[/name_f], [name_f]Lina[/name_f]?

Other twin sisters to [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]:

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] (Ada, [name_f]Addie[/name_f], Della)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_u]Camille[/name_u] (Millie, Cammie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (Lula, [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], Lucie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] (Bea / Bee)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] (Tillie, [name_u]Mattie[/name_u], Millie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] (Sunny, [name_f]Susie[/name_f], Annie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] (Jett, [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_u]Jules[/name_u], Lettie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] (Gigi, [name_f]Gia[/name_f], Ana)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f] (Cassie, [name_f]Clary[/name_f], Lissie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] (Millie, [name_f]Mila[/name_f], Ami)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lenora[/name_f] (Leni, [name_f]Lora[/name_f], Nora)

I like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] as twin sisters.
I think [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is wearable for a child, but if you don’t, your opinion matters more than mine here.
If you want another name, I really like [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] with your other kids’ names.

Congrats! I think [name_f]Celine[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are a perfect compliment to each other and their older siblings names.

( I personally love the [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] nn and like [name_f]Celie[/name_f] “Sealy” for a [name_f]Celine[/name_f] nn!)

I think [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] works great! I do like [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] more than [name_f]Celine[/name_f], so I would suggest that instead, but I have no issues with [name_f]Celine[/name_f]. Congratulations!

I like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] - they’re very sleek and self-assured and I also think (to get in question 2), it’s better to name for young adults & adults as we spend most of our lives in those phases. A lot of parents change their top name from say [name_f]Helena[/name_f] to [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] last minute because of the baby effect (not dissing [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], love the name, but just to give an example). I like the suggestions of [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] and Ceci/ [name_f]Celie[/name_f] (Sealy) or you could use [name_u]Coco[/name_u] or [name_u]Connie[/name_u] too.

[name_f]My[/name_f] small reservations with this pair is I somehow want a longer name for [name_f]Celine[/name_f] to match the other two girls, and I wonder if others could go a fraction better with your other names. I also only like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] if can “insist” on [name_u]French[/name_u] pronunciation, ViviENNE not VIVian. How about:

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (Lottie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Constance[/name_f] (Coco, [name_u]Connie[/name_u], Tansy)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (Josie or Phina)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] (Daisy, Lady)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Béatrice[/name_f] (Bea, [name_f]Bea[/name_f] - Bee-uh, [name_f]Betty[/name_f], Birdie)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] (Elo, [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], [name_f]Lois[/name_f], Lola) - not sure if too much O sound.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Noémie[/name_f] (Nomy, [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], Mimi) - probably my favourite pairing! [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] & [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] :ribbon::ribbon:

It’s as short as [name_f]Celine[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] could work with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & your other kids’ names. There’s also [name_f]Colette[/name_f] but I don’t love this name myself. And as with say [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucette[/name_f] (prefer these) not sure you want another Ette ending with [name_u]Everett[/name_u]?

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps! And congrats! :women_with_bunny_ears:

Huge congratulations!

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] + [name_f]Celine[/name_f] are beautiful together. So elegant and romantic.

Yes [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is completely usable! I love the nickname suggestions from @bemiranda.

Other twin names: [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_f]Angeline[/name_f], [name_f]Pomeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].

Wishing you all the best :two_hearts:

Thank you! These are great.
Yes, we considered [name_f]Elle[/name_f], would be my favorite of all. We know a plethora of cece’s, cici’s, and ceci’s. Also coco’s if coming from another name / angle so just trying to avoid so much duplication. Thanks!

[name_f]Celine[/name_f] is a beautiful name, and yes, I think a little girl can carry it.

But other ideas:

Charlize/Char
Luelle/Lulu
Nellie/Nell
Rosemarie/Rosie/Romie

No real nickname potential:

[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]

Thank you @EloiseT
I was actually wondering if [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] (was another name on our short list) was too similar to the others? [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] are long. Our daughter almost exclusively goes by poppy though. [name_f]Celine[/name_f] felt a little shorter in a good way!

Thank you for such a thorough comment! We have a few of these names as daughters friends (ie coco/colette) but still liking [name_f]Celine[/name_f]. Great suggestions!

Your children have amazing names! Penelop3 and Ever3tt are wonderful. I think [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] complement your set perfectly. Both names are international, elegant, fresh, bright and sophisticated. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] sounds energetic, joyful and powerful. [name_f]Celine[/name_f] sounds melodic, sweet and friendly. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and Celine’s meanings are magnificent too!! Life and heavenly :sparkles: So lovely!

I know a young [name_f]Celina[/name_f] and she adores her name. It suits her well. She goes by [name_f]Lina[/name_f] sometimes. For [name_f]Celine[/name_f], you could use [name_f]Line[/name_f] (like Lynn), Lini, [name_f]Lili[/name_f], [name_f]Elin[/name_f] / [name_f]Eline[/name_f], [name_f]Cece[/name_f], [name_f]Celie[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. Perhaps even a nickname that combines the first and middle name, if you want to. [name_f]Celine[/name_f] sounds beautiful on its own anyway!

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] would be perfect together

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f]

What about nn CeCe for [name_f]Celine[/name_f]?
Other ideas are [name_u]Celeste[/name_u], [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] (sp?)
Guineviere also has [name_u]French[/name_u] origin and with the V in it as well, it could also go with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] & [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u], lastly, I’ve always thought [name_f]Felicie[/name_f] is the cutest [name_u]French[/name_u] girls name.
But overall, [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is very pretty. And if for some reason you didn’t end up using it as a first name, it would also work well with many other names if it were in the middle name spot.

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] are both beautiful. I love [name_u]Lennie[/name_u] or maybe even CoCo as nicknames for [name_f]Celine[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] if you went with a C middle name you could use C.C. I knew a little girl named [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f]. She went by C.C. .

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] are beautiful together!! They both feel elegant, chic, and classic.

[name_f]Celine[/name_f] feels wearable on a young girl. I love the nicknames [name_f]Lina[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] for her.

And they both go wonderfully with siblings [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_u]Everett[/name_u].

A few names I think go nicely with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]:

[name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Amalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Catharine[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]

I guess I see [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] as closer to each other (ie more twinsie) and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] because of the repeat N, E and gif the twins the I and NE ending. So [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is nice to me as everyone in family gets their own ending. But as said, [name_f]Celine[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] both super chic!

I think [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] make a great combo! They’re both beautiful names and still fit well together.

I think [name_f]Celine[/name_f] could become [name_f]Cici[/name_f] if you wanted a nickname. Then you could have ViVi and CiCi! I think [name_f]Celine[/name_f] alone works well for a kid still though

I don’t think [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is any less wearable than [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. Great together and both pretty options! [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] & [name_f]Cece[/name_f]!
