Still searching for Scouts twin sister name. We are having gender suprises so don’t know for sure if it’s 2 girls but we need to be prepared to cover all bases.
What do you think of [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] nn Sybie with [name_u]Scout[/name_u]? Is it too matchy matchy? They are from complete different genres [name_u]Scout[/name_u] is spunky and would be considered super uncommon and polarising here in little old NZ and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] is vintage but do they work together?
Also Scouts middle name will be [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] after my beloved great grandmother whom I was lucky enough to have with me until I was 21.
A couple of other names I don’t mind are
[name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Mindy[/name_f] ( I just saw this name now on a sitcom and thought it was super cute)
Which is your fave?
Or feel free to drop any other ideas in the pond
Scout and Juniper are gorgeous together, as would be Scout and Mabel (if that’s an option as a first rather than as Scout’s middle?). I can’t say I love Sybil and it does feel very different to Scout but if you love it there’s no reason you couldn’t use it with twin sister Scout.
I can’t say I like Mindy, it feels somewhat dated to me and extremely casual. Scout is fairly informal too but in a different way to Mindy…
Have you thought about any of the following?
Scout and Billie
Scout and Rue
Scout and Matilda
Scout and Juno
Scout Abe Liv
Scout and Thea
Scout and Willa
Scout and Margo
Scout and Frankie
Scout and Kit
Scout and Noa
Scout and Alice
Scout and Ruby
Scout and Clover
Scout and Iris
Scout & [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] are pretty different in terms of style, but I don’t think that’s a reason not to use one of them if they’re you’re favourite. [name_u]Scout[/name_u] & [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] are sweet together! I think [name_u]Scout[/name_u] works with vintage, just quirkier vintage if that makes sense.
Scout and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] are fun together. Definitely different genres but it still works. [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] are a better ‘match’ but [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] is more unexpected.
I agree that [name_u]Scout[/name_u] & [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] having very different vibes helps it feel less matchy. I think [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]’s middle name should not start with M tho, so they don’t have identical initials.
I also like [name_u]Scout[/name_u] & [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]!
I think [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] sound a lot alike. Not that it matters since it’s a middle, but would you consider [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]?
I absolutely love the name [name_u]Scout[/name_u]! [name_u]Scout[/name_u] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is beautiful too! [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] would be an amazing pair. I can picture a little [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Junie[/name_f]. If you want the two S names, I much prefer [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] to [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]. I think [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] go together really well. However, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of your options, they’re all lovely. Good luck!
I’m the exact opposite of @Sailoraway I much prefer [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] than the other names and would usually go with [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] over a lot of things. It does feel a very different vibe to [name_u]Scout[/name_u] to me though, which is obviously the name you guys like a lot since you’re set on it. [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] sound fine together, just took me by surprise a bit. I think [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] match better in terms of style but that also makes them feel a lot more matchy-matchy than [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f].
I do also like [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] together.
OK, I think I’m a little bit in love with the idea of [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] “Sybbie” for twins!
I agree that the different styles help the matching initials to feel cute and cool, rather than overly matchy, and I love the fun, quirky vibe they have together.
Scout [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is a gorgeous combo. I’d maybe go for something short, spunky and modern (like [name_u]Scout[/name_u]) for [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]’s middle name, to balance them out…
[name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] feel a little mismatched in style to me. [name_u]Scout[/name_u] feels more modern and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] feels a little older. I love [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] though.
I agree with the consensus [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] are two different genres. I absolutely love [name_u]Scout[/name_u] though!!!
I think [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] would be cute together paired with a traditional feminine middle name.
I absolutely LOVE [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]!
I’m biased, but I wouldn’t call my kid [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] only because my cat is called [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and it’s cemented itself as a cat name for me. I love it on other kids though, so take that how you want!
