I’m writing a new book and the main characters are 15 year old twin girls. I have a few names picked out but I’m not sure which one to chose or if I should keep looking for different names. I’ll write a little about them and the names I’m thinking of below! Suggestions are welcome!! :slight_smile:

The book overall is kind of a [name]Robin[/name] Hood theme and it is based in renaissance time. The girls live in a forest with their father and the forest is an inportant part of the book.

Oldest Twin-Very handy with a sword, less planning more action, very humorous, outgoing, faces problems head-on, stubborn, always thinks her way is the best, long brown hair, twinkling light brown eyes, freckles, 5’7”, knows the woods like the back of her hand. For her I was thinking tree names, or names that feel adventrurous, daring, or brave.

Youngest Twin-Very handy with a bow and arrow, clever, likes to plan things out before she acts, prefers to be alone, withdraws into her own world, sometimes timid but overall a very brave person, 5’6”, long brown wavy hair, big dark brown eyes, freckles but not as much as older twin, friends with animals. For her I was thinking bird names, or names that mean peace or clever.

[name]Cassia[/name] and [name]Lark[/name] jumped out at me as sounding lovely together. They both sound sweet but still strong. I also thought of:

[name]Zipporah[/name] (means “bird” in Hebrew)

[name]Tavie[/name] (means “twin” in Scottish)
[name]Tallis[/name] (means “forest” in French)

And I still kind of like [name]Salome[/name] maybe a middle name or different character

Suggestions are still welcome as I am not 100% sold on any of these names yet!! :slight_smile:

I love the idea of [name]Sylvia[/name] and [name]Wren[/name] :)!
[name]Sylvia[/name] for the forest name and [name]Wren[/name] for the bird name.

I like [name]Aspen[/name] and [name]Eve[/name], but together I realized that it sounds kind of like [name]Adam[/name] and [name]Eve[/name] (ha ha). But I really love [name]Eve[/name] and I think that it really suits the character.

For the fiery twin, nature names like [name]Willow[/name], [name]Snow[/name] or [name]Bay[/name]. [name]Waverly[/name] is related to [name]Aspen[/name]. I think that names that mean brave/strong could work too (I see [name]Valiant[/name] in the list you have), like [name]Bridget[/name] or [name]Valeria[/name].

[name]Cassia[/name] sounds strong and adventurous, while [name]Wren[/name] sounds clever and bird-like. Those are my favourites. [name]Cassia[/name] and [name]Wren[/name]. [name]Isis[/name] sounds too much like a goddess to me, but maybe you’re going for that. [name]Aspen[/name] is also good, but more common-sounding than [name]Cassia[/name].

I’m using [name]Wren[/name] but I’m still not sure if I should use [name]Cassia[/name] or [name]Aspen[/name]!!! At first I liked [name]Cassia[/name], then I decided to use [name]Aspen[/name], but now I can’t decide!!

Before I saw your list, I immediately thought [name]Laurel[/name] and [name]Wren[/name]. Now that I see the names, I think [name]Cassia[/name] and [name]Wren[/name] would be perfect.

There’s a trilogy called Matched by [name]Ally[/name] [name]Condie[/name], which revolves around a girl of vaguely similar physical description named [name]Cassia[/name]. [name]Just[/name] to tell you in case you were looking to publish/wanted a more individual name. Not that it’s that big but I just wanted to put it out there. Sorry if this is a pain :slight_smile:
