Hello. We will be having twin girls in [name_m]August[/name_m], and I am wondering if the names we have picked are too similar. Our older three kids are [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], and [name_f]Emelia[/name_f]. We would like to not use E names again, but want to keep the ending “ah” sound.
The names we love for the twins are [name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] pronounced [name_f]Lily[/name_f]- [name_f]Anna[/name_f] from frozen, not the short “a” sound like [name_f]Anne[/name_f], and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] pronounced Lie-lah with a long “i”. We would probably call them [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilah[/name_f].
I think these names sound unique and not too similar to each other, but they start with the same first three letters. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that is a major enough similarity where we need to change the names?
Here are other options we have.
[name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] & [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] (Lily & Lyla) same names, but with [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] spelled [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] so they don’t look as similar.
[name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] & [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] (Lily & Lilah) I don’t love [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], but it would be a way for Lilah’s legal name to be different.
[name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] & [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] (Lily & Sophie)
[name_f]Lilliana[/name_f] & [name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] & [name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] & [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] & [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] & [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]
I would love everyone’s opinions on these names for our twins! Thank you.
