I’m having twin girls and completely stuck on names. We like classic names but my husband has more traditional taste than I do. We’re both set on [name_f]Sara[/name_f] for one twin but need a name for the other. Right now we have 3 boys and a girl. [name_f]My[/name_f] daughters name is [name_f]Leah[/name_f].
I’d love some new ideas but current choices are [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and:
I’d love to fall in love with a name that isn’t so popular but I’m stuck. We’d also like to use [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] as a middle name after an aunt who passed away.
Although I love the names [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] (just look at my signature), I think [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is better suited with your girl names. It’s short and sweet like your other girl names, and it’s got a similar simplistic beauty. [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sound lovely together.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was [name_f]Laura[/name_f]! [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] would be great! [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is my other suggestion. I love these from your list:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f] would be lovely for [name_f]Sara[/name_f]'s twin. [name_f]Kailey[/name_f] is the only name I would eliminate as it lacks the substance of [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f]. Here are some other suggestions.
Great suggestions. Thanks! [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] is actually my name and my daughter’s middle name is [name_f]Helen[/name_f].
[name_f]Kailey[/name_f] and [name_f]Carley[/name_f] are names I loved 10 years ago and I think I’m over them now but they were the only trendier names my husband ok’d for our list.
I like:
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f]
Some other suggestions:
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Louise[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
Congratulations if your pregnancy and best of luck choosing a name!
I would have said [name_f]Anna[/name_f] but '[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]" is actually pretty hard to say. I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] best.
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Jade[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Sonia[/name_f]
And some considerations for naming twins: If they will be identical, it’s probably a good idea to do names that are easily distinguishable. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is “longer hair longer name” until they are old enough to choose their hairstyle. If you are interested in that then:
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
Oh, congrats! I’m a twin as well (and my sister is [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]).
I think [name_f]Sara[/name_f] is lovely with your [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. What will [name_f]Sara[/name_f]'s middle name be? All of the names with the exception of [name_f]Carly[/name_f] and [name_f]Kailey[/name_f] would fit well with the classic style, and you’ve gotten great suggestions. A couple thoughts:
(1) You could use [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and use another Biblical name, like [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f], for your third girl. I’m thinking [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. (Though [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] is not great, admittedly.)
(2) With [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] as a middle name, a non-ends-in-A name would be best. Maybe another four-letter choice to go with [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f]? Ideas are [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] ([name_f]Mary[/name_f] could go by a nickname if you like, such as [name_f]Molly[/name_f] or [name_f]May[/name_f].)
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] would be my top pick for you, but with middle name [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] it’s a little tough. Although not unusably so : D. So, [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f], is solid, I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]. To me, [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f] have too much sound overlap with the [name_f]AIR[/name_f] syllable, unless you have an accent that distinguishes them. I do like [name_f]Mary[/name_f] for getting away from the A endings though. Since you like [name_f]Kailey[/name_f], [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] comes to mind and you could call her [name_f]Katie[/name_f] which sounds like [name_f]Kailey[/name_f]. [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]'s a bit longer than [name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f], but they’re all so classic it makes sense, and [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] sounds great. Similar with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Leah[/name_f], [name_f]Sara[/name_f], and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is great. Although the Ls bump, I also like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f] for you - [name_u]Abby[/name_u] seems like it might hit a bit of the sweet spot between classic and popular for you.
What do you think of [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Callie[/name_f]?
I still love [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but the more I say it with my last name the more I’m not sure it flows. [name_f]My[/name_f] last name starts with an L and it kind of blends together.
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] the best, but neither of them really go with your MN at all. I think the best on your list for the MN is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], especially since it has so many NNs to choose from
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_f]Roslyn[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_f]Katharine[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Lorna[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I also like the suggestions of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Kate[/name_f]). What about [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_u]Allison[/name_u]?
