Twin siblings for Elias

Hello! We are expecting twins here in a month! We have chosen to not find out the genders beforehand. Right now we have a 2 year old named [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. We call him [name_m]Eli[/name_m] and [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] the name.

When it comes to girl names we like [name_f]Briella[/name_f]. The only issue is that we would end up calling her [name_f]Ella[/name_f] (which I love), but I’m not sold on how similar [name_m]Eli[/name_m] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] would sound…

We also both like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but would again want to nickname that to [name_f]Elly[/name_f], which might again be too close to [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. Niether of us like the nicknames of [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] or [name_f]Beth[/name_f] very well. We are considering [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a middle name more so.
We also have thought of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (husband’s suggestion with nickname [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]), but aren’t 100% of it. It seems we pick a lot of “E” names, but when put togetherin a sibling set might sound kinda unusual. Thoughts?

When it comes to boy names we have no clue. My husband likes [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], but I don’t care for it at ALL. We have talked about the name [name_m]Judah[/name_m] ([name_u]Jude[/name_u]), but again aren’t sold on it.

We want names that can grow with them. We would like that they aren’t one of a number of kids with the same name in their class but isn’t so unusual either. This is part of the reason we fell in love with [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. We also like names with nicknames but a longer name that can sound professional one day. We aren’t dead set on it having to have a nickname though if we find a shorter name we love.

Also, we are a [name_m]Christian[/name_m] family, so a bonus is if it had a Biblical meaning without being super common ([name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]Mark[/name_m], etc.) but doesn’t have to be.

Any insight into the names I have mentioned or additional suggestions would be so welcomed. Thank you!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_u]Elias[/name_u] is a great name. Here are my thoughts for the new kiddos:

Girls-

[name_f]Briella[/name_f]-Honestly, this is not my favorite. It just looks incomplete. I do like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] though. [name_m]Eli[/name_m] & [name_f]Ella[/name_f] are a little close, but maybe not a deal breaker if it’s the one that you both really love.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]-This is a solid classic. [name_f]Elly[/name_f] is for sure too close to [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Bess[/name_f], [name_f]Bette[/name_f] or [name_f]Tess[/name_f] as nns?

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]-This seems perfect w/[name_u]Elias[/name_u].

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]-Really pretty. I don’t care for [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], but it’s fine. I don’t think that it’s too close to [name_m]Eli[/name_m], since it doesn’t also have an ‘l’ like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] & [name_f]Elly[/name_f] do.

Girls suggestions:

[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]

[name_f]Stella[/name_f]

[name_f]Talia[/name_f]

Boys-

[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]-Pretty good, but obviously a no go if you don’t like it.

[name_m]Judah[/name_m]-This seems to go well w/[name_u]Elias[/name_u]. I love the nn [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. Super cute w/[name_m]Eli[/name_m].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this gives you some combinations to think about. If it’s a boy and a girl play with names you like from each section.

I think [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] could work as nn for a sibset. [name_m]Eli[/name_m] has a strong “E” sound, whereas [name_f]Ella[/name_f] has an “Eh” beginning, which I think will help differentiate them.

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] could also have [name_f]Betty[/name_f] as a nn.

I like [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], [name_m]Jonah[/name_m] could be alternative (very similar to [name_m]Judah[/name_m]).

Other suggestions:
[name_f]Adalia[/name_f]
[name_f]Adina[/name_f] ([name_f]Nina[/name_f] nn)
[name_f]Arianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Deborah[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Kianna[/name_f]
[name_u]Josie[/name_u]
[name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Mariah[/name_f]

[name_m]Julius[/name_m]
[name_m]Amos[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_u]Beau[/name_u]
[name_m]Harris[/name_m]
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] ([name_u]Nico[/name_u] nn)
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Caleb[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m]

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] could also be [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_f]Mila[/name_f]

I think [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], & [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] would make a wonderful sibset

Diane921 - Both of your posts got caught behind the spam filter. Since they were not exactly alike (although some of the suggestions were the same) I approved both.

I think [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], and [name_u]Eden[/name_u] is perfect!

For two girls I would do [name_u]Eden[/name_u] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f]). I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is cute too, but I’m not sure it’s your style.

For boys, [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Zane[/name_m] get my vote. Good luck!

I don’t think [name_f]Briella[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f] is too close to [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. They are pronounced totally differently.
