Hello! We are expecting twins here in a month! We have chosen to not find out the genders beforehand. Right now we have a 2 year old named [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. We call him [name_m]Eli[/name_m] and [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] the name.
When it comes to girl names we like [name_f]Briella[/name_f]. The only issue is that we would end up calling her [name_f]Ella[/name_f] (which I love), but I’m not sold on how similar [name_m]Eli[/name_m] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] would sound…
We also both like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but would again want to nickname that to [name_f]Elly[/name_f], which might again be too close to [name_m]Eli[/name_m]. Niether of us like the nicknames of [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] or [name_f]Beth[/name_f] very well. We are considering [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a middle name more so.
We also have thought of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] (husband’s suggestion with nickname [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]), but aren’t 100% of it. It seems we pick a lot of “E” names, but when put togetherin a sibling set might sound kinda unusual. Thoughts?
When it comes to boy names we have no clue. My husband likes [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], but I don’t care for it at ALL. We have talked about the name [name_m]Judah[/name_m] ([name_u]Jude[/name_u]), but again aren’t sold on it.
We want names that can grow with them. We would like that they aren’t one of a number of kids with the same name in their class but isn’t so unusual either. This is part of the reason we fell in love with [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. We also like names with nicknames but a longer name that can sound professional one day. We aren’t dead set on it having to have a nickname though if we find a shorter name we love.
Also, we are a [name_m]Christian[/name_m] family, so a bonus is if it had a Biblical meaning without being super common ([name_m]John[/name_m], [name_m]Mark[/name_m], etc.) but doesn’t have to be.
Any insight into the names I have mentioned or additional suggestions would be so welcomed. Thank you!
