Twin Sister for Wesley?

This is just an idea I’m bouncing around in my head right now, I haven’t even began to write it out yet, but the character names are my number one concern. The two main characters are going to be a set of teenage twins, about 15 or so. The boy, older by six minutes, I’ve already pinned down as [name]Wesley[/name] (inspired by [name]Star[/name] Trek: The Next Generation’s [name]Wesley[/name] Crusher). He is going to be very smart and very mature. It’s the sister I can’t decide on. I’ve thought about calling her [name]Winifred[/name] nn [name]Winnie[/name], but I don’t know. Is that too cutesy with [name]Wesley[/name]? I would like them both to have W names. The girl is going to be almost a polar opposite of her brother, smart but not in the obvious way he is, and kind of wild. I want a cute and sassy name for her. I also thought about [name]Wendy[/name], but all I can picture is the mother from the [name]Stephen[/name] [name]King[/name] novel The Shining. I just need some name ideas and suggstions here, please! Not having a name for one of my main characters is driving me NUTS!

I don’t mind [name]Winifred[/name] and [name]Wesley[/name] together but I think [name]Wesley[/name] and [name]Winnie[/name] are too matchy. They may work better if you choose the nn’s [name]Wes[/name] and [name]Winnie[/name] instead. Other “W” girls names: [name]Willa[/name], [name]Wilhelmina[/name], [name]Wilda[/name]/[name]Wylda[/name], [name]Winona[/name], [name]Wallis[/name], [name]Wren[/name], [name]Winter[/name], [name]Willow[/name], [name]Whitney[/name], Wendelin, [name]Wednesday[/name], [name]Waverly[/name], [name]Wanda[/name], [name]Wilma[/name]…not a lot to choose from for this letter of the alphabet.

[name]Wynn[/name], [name]West[/name], [name]Wallace[/name], [name]Wilder[/name]-[name]Rose[/name], or [name]Wisteria[/name] nn wisty

[name]Wesley[/name] sounds like quite a classic name to me, so [name]Winifred[/name] would go well. She could go by [name]Freda[/name]/[name]Freddie[/name] if the [name]Winnie[/name] nickname bothers you.

[name]Wesley[/name] and [name]Winona[/name] would work well, sure you’ve got nn [name]Winnie[/name] here too but I think [name]Winona[/name] is a better standalone name than [name]Winifred[/name].
