Hello all! I am 16wks with my second set of twins (I had boys last [name]March[/name]. [name]One[/name] of our son’s died of SIDs at 5mos though)… and we are in need of some girl names.
Our boys were [name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Archer[/name] and [name]Emmitt[/name] [name]Erving[/name]. We like classic/old first names and more modern middle names it seems. Our alternates for them included [name]Sawyer[/name] and [name]Emerson[/name].
Girls names we are liking…
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Reverie[/name]
Middle names:
[name]Grey[/name]
[name]Rue[/name]
I prefer less girly names, even unisex or more masculine… girly middle names are ok though in some cases.
I also [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Arya[/name] (big GOT fan) but our last name is a very [name]German[/name] Ar… name.
I’d love some suggestions! My hunch is b/g twins this time… We’re making a long list so if you have a perfect boy name I’d love to hear it too, but we are mainly looking to flesh out our girl names.
You hit nail on the head as many of those are on my list! [name]Ellis[/name] is actually high up on our boys list. [name]Avery[/name] might be it but we have close friends with an [name]Avery[/name]
Hmmmm…
Very sorry about the passing of your son. He is still with you, just not on earth! I think [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Grey[/name] and [name]Reverie[/name] [name]Anya[/name] would be beautiful. [name]Anya[/name] and [name]Arya[/name] are similar, and you said you didn’t think the AR in [name]Arya[/name] was useable…
[name]Haven[/name]'t checked back in awhile…
I do like [name]Anya[/name] too… hmmm. My hunch is 1 girl and 1 boy this time… so I have to pick my favorite. [name]Reverie[/name] [name]Anya[/name] is lovely… I agree. [name]Will[/name] have to think on it. Thanks!
Thanks niamh… I sorta think this post was written off after following the boards a bit more… something like twin name posts being thought of as fake or something?..
[name]Glad[/name] to get confirmation that those names are lovely, even if not a ton of new ideas!
We have our anatomy scan on the 16th, though I am debating begging for a quick peek at sexes next Thursday as I won one of the Honest Company’s Ultimate [name]Baby[/name] Showers and I was thinking it would be fun to announce the babies’ sexes there… Still thinking b/g though
Hello sweetheart
I am so sorry for your loss. My suggestions for you are:
[name]Willow[/name]
[name]Presley[/name]
[name]Mira[/name]
Aishlin
[name]Mae[/name]
[name]Cora[/name]
[name]Ada[/name]
Aibhne
[name]Claire[/name]
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Hi[/name]! Congrats on your 2nd set of twins!
As a sister to [name]Sullivan[/name] and [name]Emmitt[/name]:
[name]Sloane[/name] (if you don’t mind a second s name)
[name]Brooke[/name]
[name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name]
[name]Reese[/name]
[name]Casey[/name] (either on it’s own or as a nn for [name]Cassandra[/name])
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Kendall[/name]
[name]Blake[/name]
[name]Adrienne[/name]
[name]Kerrigan[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Avery[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name]
What boys names are you thinking about this time around?
[name]Banyan[/name] [name]Ellis[/name] Ar…
[name]Laurel[/name] [name]Rue[/name] Ar… <though I don’t want her name shortened to or misheard as ‘Laura’ or ‘Laurie’>
I think [name]Reverie[/name] is lovely, as is [name]Laurel[/name]. [name]Rowan[/name] is sweet as well, but I feel like it’s a bit more on the masculine side (although many people prefer it as a girl name, so maybe that’s just me!)
If I saw [name]Ellis[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name], I would probably assume both were boys, especially [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Grey[/name]. I like [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Ainsley[/name] because it feels more balanced. My favourite combo from your options is [name]Ellis[/name] [name]Asher[/name] and [name]Reverie[/name] [name]Lenore[/name], although I also love [name]Laurel[/name] [name]Rue[/name].
My favorite is [name]Rowan[/name] and if I had a [name]Rowan[/name] I would name her [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]… My condolences on your baby boy… And congrats on the twins
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Rowan[/name]. I also love [name]Ainsley[/name]…but I’m inclined to choose a feminine name in the middle. If they are both unisex, it is hard to tell on paper.
I love [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Laurel[/name]!! I know they are 2 trees, but I adore nature names xox
Confirmed our girlie yesterday at 20wk anatomy scan… so Gotta get on picking a name and an alternate for both our little man and little lady.
[name]Reverie[/name] [name]Rowan[/name] Ar…
[name]Reverie[/name] [name]Rue[/name] Ar…
[name]Ellis[/name] [name]Asher[/name] Ar…
[name]Ellis[/name] [name]Bran[/name] Ar…
Last time we have alternate first names… this time I think those might stick. IDK.
I really like [name]Ellis[/name] [name]Holden[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Grey[/name] but I feel that people might think that [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Grey[/name] is a boy because both names can be masculine, same with [name]Rowan[/name] [name]Ainsley[/name]. So I think [name]Rowan[/name] need a good girly name.
Firstly I’m sorry for you loss and congratulations on the twins.
Okay [name]Sullivan[/name] [name]Archer[/name] and [name]Emmit[/name] [name]Erving[/name] are very traditional masculine choices and I think for a girl if you go with another masculine choice it could be a masculinity over-load and be gender confusing. From the names you have mentioned I like [name]Rowan[/name] yet this could lead to gender confusion and with people mistaking [name]Rowan[/name] to be a boy. I also love [name]Laurel[/name] I think she’s really timely and vintage. I think [name]Laurel[/name] works brilliantly with the boy names as well, their all vintage spunky names. I also think [name]Arya[/name] is lovely but prefer [name]Aria[/name]. [name]Reverie[/name] isn’t my thing though. I think you can go for feminine names that feel more masculine and that would work wonders for you.
