Twins named Mya and Mia

I kid you not.
They were just born yesterday.

I still can’t believe their mother did that…

O_o Nice names on their own, but as twins…even as cousins that’d be hard on them.

Wow. Lacking originality much?

When I see matchy names like this it makes me sad! Sometimes I wish there was a way to “strongly urge” some parents to take a course on “[name]How[/name] To Name A [name]Baby[/name] 101”.

Urgggg. When she calls out to them, they’ll never know who she’s trying to yell at!

Are they said the same or is one my-ah and one me-ah? Either way I think it’s not very fair to the girls.

[name]One[/name] is my-ah, and the other is me-ah.

And I agree with you.

WHY??? Those poor little girls.

That’s so sad! You only get to name children once, and twins are much less common. Spend such a special time by at least taking the time to come up with original names.

What’s awful is that [name]Mya[/name] could be interpreted as a tryndee spelling of [name]Mia[/name], and [name]Mia[/name] can be pronounced Mee-ah OR My-ah.
Poor babies. I feel sorry for anyone who has to address them, it’ll be really awkward.

Sometimes I wish there was a way to “strongly urge” some parents to take a course on “[name]How[/name] To Name A [name]Baby[/name] 101”.

Agreed! Those poor girls. I like their names fine individually, but together?

;_;

i’m really upset now…i would kill to get to name twin girls, and she wasted this prime opportunity! poor babies =(

Now that’s just mean. Especially if they’re identical. AT LEAST give them names that are unique and individual. And I agree with the pp, what a wasted oppourtunity! I would have loved naming twin girls.

OMG!!! that is just AWFUL!!!

That is so sad. I’ve seen some terrible twin names on the SSA site…

[name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Zoey[/name]
[name]Faith[/name] and [name]Hope[/name]/[name]Faith[/name] and [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Emma[/name] and [name]Ella[/name]
[name]Jayla[/name] and [name]Kayla[/name]
[name]Mia[/name] and [name]Mya[/name] is on there (10 sets born in 2011)
[name]Heaven[/name] and [name]Nevaeh[/name]
[name]London[/name] and [name]Paris[/name]
[name]Valentina[/name] and [name]Valeria[/name]

[name]Ayden[/name] and [name]Jayden[/name]
[name]Jeremiah[/name] and [name]Jeremy[/name] (seriously, 12 sets born in 2011)
[name]Chance[/name] and [name]Chase[/name]

For male/female (I think these might be the worst…)

[name]Jayda[/name] and [name]Jayden[/name] and [name]Jada[/name] and [name]Jaden[/name]
[name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Tyler[/name]
[name]Landon[/name] and [name]London[/name]
[name]Adrian[/name] and [name]Adriana[/name]
[name]Michael[/name] and [name]Michelle[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name]

Well, nms but not that bad. I echo the thought that I wish I had twin girls to name.

That’s so confusing. It doesn’t seem fair that they’ll have to go through life being “[name]Mya[/name], [name]Mia[/name]'s twin sister.” and having people say “What now?” As others have said, that’s an oppurtunity to name twin girls wasted.

  • [name]Athena[/name]

Good grief.

That’s just lazy. And almost cruel.
