Lol - she will have both a photographer and installation artist for parents. I guess if she ends up thinking it’s holding her back, I assume she can do like her grandma did when she went to law school and just change her name.
Definitely rethinking [name]Elizabeth[/name] now… dang Disney and their movie empire, haha. I might try to find something literary and classic.
I personally think, why not just have it be her middle name? Its safer that way and she can still be called that and go by it if she wants.
In school when they call out her name ,say [name]Elizabeth[/name], she could be like I go by [name]Sparrow[/name] (Or maybe just people close to her would call her this). [name]Man[/name], she would have to be certainly very spunky to go by [name]Sparrow[/name] though.
But if her name was [name]Sparrow[/name] and she didn’t like. [name]Every[/name] time she had a new teacher she would have to say she went by [name]Elizabeth[/name]. That would get tiresome.
But thats just me and I am a bit more conservative when it comes to something as important as a name.
I like [name]Sparrow[/name] :), as a first or middle name. If [name]Robin[/name] and [name]Wren[/name] are widely accepted as names, why not [name]Sparrow[/name] indeed?
I do enjoy middle names that start with the letter A if [name]Sparrow[/name] is the first name to give her the initials SAS because a little girl named [name]Sparrow[/name] can’t help but be a least a little sassy. [name]Sparrow[/name] pretty much defines “lively, bold, and full of spirit; cheeky”.
My favorite names are word names to the point that I wouldn’t even consider a “traditional” name except for maybe at the middle name spot. That said, I wouldn’t personally use the name [name]Sparrow[/name] (I have issues with birds in general, so it would be kind of weird for me to use one). Out of your list, [name]Juniper[/name] would be the one I would choose. That said, I think it is completely awesome that your husband has agreed to your number one “guilty pleasure” name. I would personally be so ecstatic if my conservative husband told me to go ahead with my love for [name]Juniper[/name]. There would be no talking me out of it.
I absolutely think you should go with [name]Sparrow[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t be “safe” and use it for the middle name spot. I really think you would regret it. I did immediately think of the Pirates of the Carribean when I first read [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name] and I don’t think that [name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] has quite the same flow. I’m not good with suggesting middle names, but I hope you find one that you love just as much.
I’m not opposed to the notion of [name]Sparrow[/name] (or Nature/word names as a class) but I don’t like the particular example of [name]Sparrow[/name]. Sparrows are such drab, boring birds. In literature, poetry, art and allegory they often represent the common, the overlooked, the unimportant, etc. “His eye is on the sparrow” and so forth. [name]Just[/name] seems like a curious image to project onto your child, even though it does have a modern sound and a trendy ending.
But I agree, if the clouds parted and suddenly my husband became interested in names period and blindly agreed with my choices, I would be rejoicing too.
I love [name]Sparrow[/name] [name]June[/name]! It’s beautiful and balanced with a nice rhythm. I don’t think it’s too unusual at all. I don’t like [name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] nearly as much but that might just be personal preference.
[name]Sparrow[/name] is a great name - I [name]DO[/name] love it and it is similiar to my own naming style BUT I have to tell you it screams [name]Nicole[/name] [name]Ritchie[/name]…just FYI in case you didn’t know.
My only concern is - will she like it? [name]Sparrow[/name] is a name she would either love or hate - there’s no middle ground. It’s a big gamble. If think the pros outweigh the cons, then I’d name her [name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. If you have concern she may not like being named [name]Sparrow[/name] - I’m thinking of how much she’ll want to fit in with her peers as a child and a teenager, and I’m thinking about her walking into job interviews - then I’d name her [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name], and call her [name]Sparrow[/name] as a nickname.
I strongly suggest naming her [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name] and calling her [name]Sparrow[/name] as a nickname.
I hear the sentiment, and your difficulty conceiving certainly exacerbates the need for a name that is very meaningful and especially loved by you.
Now the name itself, [name]Sparrow[/name], isn’t my taste. It’s not a lovely bird - to me it’s dark and drab, like [name]Blade[/name] suggested. If you really love it, I’d use it as a middle. You can call her [name]Sparrow[/name] if you want, but she’ll have something more classic and mature to fall back on if she prefers it.
If you’re set on [name]Sparrow[/name], how about…
[name]Abigail[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name]
[name]June[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name]
I don’t think it has a nice sound, or association, at all. [name]Lark[/name] or [name]Starling[/name] sound positively pretty compared to [name]Sparrow[/name].
There is no way I’d use this as a first name, to be honest.
Someone else mentioned [name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name] which i think flows really well, and like heaps of people have said, she can always go by her middle name if she deosnt like it.
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Dakota[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Elizabelle[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Natalia[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Kaitlyn[/name]/[name]Kaitlynn[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Lucia[/name]
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Tricia[/name]
I prefer [name]Elisabeth[/name] over [name]Elizabeth[/name], it seems fresher to me.
[name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Elisabeth[/name] is beautiful. Go for it, name her something you love!
I think [name]Sparrow[/name] should only be in the middle name spot. It makes me roll my eyes a bit to see that as an option as a first name. [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Ingrid[/name] are so much nicer, prettier, feminine, and most importantly, useable than [name]Sparrow[/name].
Like [name]Sparrow[/name] as a first name, not one I would use but I’d love to see it on somone else’s baby Howeber I don’t like [name]Elizabeth[/name] as a middle name, it’s boring and “filler” in the middle, but I love it as a first name. I like [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sparrow[/name] or [name]Sparrow[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] much more
