[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries,
Which one for a girl that will grow up in the US?
[name_f]Alara[/name_f] or [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]?
Tnx
I prefer the sound of [name_f]Alara[/name_f]!
They’re both gorgeous! I find [name_f]Alara[/name_f] a little more relaxed & serious sounding, [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] more lilting, playful and happy sounding. I can’t decide which I like more! (I’m also not in the US.)
I’m not in the USA, but I think I would choose [name_f]Alara[/name_f] over [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. It’s more unusual, yet familiar at the same time.
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] - sweet, sparkly and lovely
I find Alara more likely to be from the US and Lilia from the UK. They’re both pretty names. Lilia has something bright, elegant and enchanting about it and Alara (though it has the fairy like meaning) gives open, highly self-assured, and charismatic. I like them both - unhelpful answer but just to say that you really can’t go wrong imo with either. It might come down to these sorts of images, better flow to last name, and whether you like Lily/LeeLee or Allie/Lara/Rara as possible nicknames.
[name_f]Alara[/name_f]! [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is very gorgeous but also a variation of [name_f]Lily[/name_f] / [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] that is so common in the US. I havent heard a girl named [name_f]Alara[/name_f] yet.
I met an [name_f]Alara[/name_f] once. She was born in Turkey.
I like both and cannot choose - so what about [name_f]Alara[/name_f] [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]?
Both names are gorgeous!
[name_f]Alara[/name_f] is a lovely name she’s bright majestic fairy name that feels ethereal. I absolutely love the meaning ‘water fairy’ and I think she’s really whimsical and magical. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name.
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] I absolutely love obviously she’s sweet, international, has tons of springtime imagery attached along with lovely floral connotations. I think with the popularity of [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and her variants especially in the US I think I see [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] growing up in the states suiting an all American girl.
Both are lovely my favourite is [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] (obviously) but whichever you choose your onto a winner
Both very beautiful!
I would choose the strong and classy [name_f]Alara[/name_f] just because it sounds a bit more distinct. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] has a lovely musical sound, but it has very popular variants I fear it would get lost in.
I think both work for the US! I don’t think either would be hard to pronounce intuitively. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] might be slightly easier to figure out. Both are beautiful! [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is one of my top names, so I would personally pick that
lilia!!
Both would work great but my personal favourite is [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]!
I would go with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! I could see [name_f]Alara[/name_f] getting mixed up with [name_f]Lara[/name_f], [name_f]Alana[/name_f], etc. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is sweet and distinct.
I prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! [name_u]Light[/name_u] and bright.
I suspect [name_f]Alara[/name_f] would be misheard quite a lot, due to names like [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Alana[/name_f], [name_f]Elara[/name_f], [name_f]Alaia[/name_f], etc.
I think I would vote for [name_f]Alara[/name_f]! I like the names a very similar amount, but I think [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] could possibly be a little hard for young kids to pronounce (especially as it’s quite common for kids to have a hard time pronouncing Ls and Rs), so that is why [name_f]Alara[/name_f] got my vote!
I love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]!
[name_f]Alara[/name_f] is my favourite but I love both
