As a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] I have to say that I too love this name although I confess that I use my middle name of [name_f]Margot[/name_f] most of the time because I did not stand up for myself when I was young and consequently people gave me the nn of [name_f]Carol[/name_f] which I dislike. If I had my time over I would either insist on being called [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] or one of the pretty nicknames eg [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_f]Carys[/name_f], [name_f]Carly[/name_f].

I think that the combo of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] flows beautifully but if I had to choose between [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as a first name it would have to be [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. I love to see [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] being used as it is such a classy name that while not being wildly popular like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] never loses its appeal and fits into all decades seamlessly unlike the Jennifers who will always be allotted the 70’s timeslot.

Good luck

Thanks rollo! I love that you mentioned NN… if we choose [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], I plan on calling her [name_f]Carys[/name_f] for short. And I do like that it is not insanely popular at the moment like some others but seems still fresh and timeless at the same time!

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]!!!

I prefer [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] as a name, but I don’t know if you’re aware that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] are both feminine forms of [name_m]Charles[/name_m] ([name_f]Caroline[/name_f] coming from the original Latin, [name_m]Carolus[/name_m]). And the shared initials is fine if you’re planning on stopping at two, but if you’re intending on more children you’re looking like either tying yourself into the C A theme (ok if you like [name_f]Christina[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or something, not so great if your next three favourite girl names begin with R, T and H) or risk having one daughter feeling left out that they have different initials. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a couple of things you might want to consider.

I wouldn’t choose [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] for either the first or middle name if I already had a daughter named [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. As essjay has pointed out, they are forms of the same name. To me, it would be akin to naming daughters [name_f]Mary[/name_f] and [name_f]Maria[/name_f] or [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Anne[/name_f] or [name_f]Christine[/name_f] and [name_f]Kirsten[/name_f].

I voted for [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]. As previous posters already pointed out, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] are the same name.
