I feel like the double middle combos sound a bit more like a list of names than one cohesive name, especially the ones with [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] right next to each other. My favorite is [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. If you do choose to use two middles, I like [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
Favourite one mn combo: [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
Favourite two mn combo: [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
I think [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] sound better when they’re separated in a combo by [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] because they have similar sounds.
I like [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] best. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] are both lovely. However, as a full combo, I like [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] best. I still would probably go with [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] ([name_f]Miriam[/name_f]) [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], though–it’s really beautiful!
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is gorgeous–definitely deserves the front spot. I’d call her [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] (nn [name_u]Sasha[/name_u]) [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] (sorry…can’t get on bored w/[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] or [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]–they sound so dated).
I think 2 middle names is just too much. They are all fairly long names to start with. I personally think it is name overload. I was very torn between [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but your prn of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] convinced me to vote for [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]!
I voted [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Miriam[/name_f].
I agree with rknd with the suggestion of [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] definitely deserves a front spot. Whilst I think [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] would be fine with the current -lyn trend going on, I think [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] is a very, very dated name.
Thank you for the suggestions! While we both love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], we are surrounded by little [name_u]Alex[/name_u]'s of both genders so it’s not an option for us. It has special meaning for us though so it definitely stays as a middle name.
What is/are your other child(ren)'s name(s)? Might make a difference?
[name_f]Love[/name_f] both [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] AND [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I think that [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] flows the best; and you can use the cutest nickname [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (her initials!).
I don’t really have a preference between [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are beautiful. Of the three name combos, I believe [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] sounds and flows the best. Good luck!
If you weren’t so set on [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], I would say [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and make both of you happy. Otherwise, I voted [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] because I’ve never been a fan of multiple middles and I’m not fond of the way you’re pronouncing [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u].
I wasn’t aware that the pronunciation of [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] was up for debate… I think if you’re going to try to have it pronounced “EV-lyn,” it’s going to be a life-long struggle for the poor girl. I really don’t think that’s a good idea.
All the names are lovely, but I agree with a pp that thought the 3, 3-syllable names all in a row was a bit much. I voted for [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] because it has the better flow of the two 2-name combos. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is a bit of a tongue-twister.
Our regional accent makes the middle syllable very short, we pretty much skip it. It’s not wrong, it’s not right, it’s simply a regional accent. We are still debating what to do. We actually went with a double middle name for our daughter [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and it’s been fine so far. Her full name is also fairly long and hasn’t caused any problem so far. However I had told my husband that she was going to be the exception, and here we are again. Actually, at the moment, only my husband doesn’t have two middle names, so at least it’s not like our new baby would be the only one in the family with a long name. That being said, I still want a name that has a good flow, so thanks again for all your input, it’s really helping.
