Two Middle Names?

[name_f]My[/name_f] older son is [name_u]Easton[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m], and as we’re planning to name baby #2, we’re struggling. [name_f]My[/name_f] mn is [name_u]Lee[/name_u], my mother’s Mn is [name_u]Lee[/name_u], as is her father and his father…and it’s sort of a big deal, but [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is hard to pair with some of the names we like and we sort of like other mn’s better. This might be our last bc of medical complications I have during birth, so I’m afraid to count on having another to pass the [name_u]Lee[/name_u] on to. So, with all that said…here’s what we’re considering for baby #2

Boy-[name_m]Brogan[/name_m] [name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] ([name_u]Seth[/name_u] was the name of one of my husband’s best friends who passed away)
Girl-[name_f]Maren[/name_f]/[name_f]Marin[/name_f]/Maryn/Meryn [name_f]Cait[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]

Thoughts? Is this weird with [name_u]Easton[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] just having one mn?

Thanks!

I have to admit that I’m not crazy about your boys first name. [name_m]Brogan[/name_m] is a shoe. It also shares the same “n” ending as [name_u]Easton[/name_u]. [name_m]Brody[/name_m]/[name_m]Brodie[/name_m] would be better. Have you considered [name_u]Seth[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] as his name? I like [name_f]Maren[/name_f] very much - it’s soft and feminine. [name_f]Cait[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] sounds too similar to [name_f]Katie[/name_f] for me. What about just [name_f]Maren[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]?

I for one love [name_m]Brogan[/name_m] for both a girl or a boy. I have a cousin who has two middle names [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Frank[/name_m] and it’s the same sort of thing they’re all family names. It may just be me but I find it so much harder to find middle names for boys than I do girls. In the end it’s your kid and you’re going to do what you want.

[name_u]Lee[/name_u] is a family name for us, too, So I’ve had this dilemma also!

Personally, I think [name_m]Brogan[/name_m] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] and [name_f]Marin[/name_f] (etc.) [name_u]Lee[/name_u] sound just fine as combos, but if you’re really set on using it with something else, I think two middle names is just fine. I do agree with mischa though that [name_f]Marin[/name_f] [name_f]Cait[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] smooshes a bit into “[name_f]Catie[/name_f]”.
