Two names we love, but does the nn make them too similar?

We are ttc, but don’t have any kids yet - so this is a hypothetical question… [name]Both[/name] my husband and I like the names [name]Charlotte[/name] nn [name]Lottie[/name] ([name]Lottie[/name] honors a relative), and [name]Lila[/name]. If we were to have two girls, would these work for sisters? I think [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] make a great sib-set, but not so sure I like [name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Lila[/name]. What do you all think?

I love [name]Lottie[/name] as a nickname. [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Lottie[/name] won’t be to bad. Me and my sister are an H-H pair and other than our parents calling us by the wrong name sometimes, It’s fine.

I think it’s ok. I would do it. I love both [name]Lilah[/name] and charlotte! [name]Lilah[/name] and [name]Lottie[/name] is cute. And they are only nn’s.

I think [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Lottie[/name], though there are lots of L’s, sound fine together! [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] are divine

Also, have you considered that [name]Lila[/name] may end up with a shorter nn as well? I think it’s likely they [name]Lila[/name] might turn into [name]Lil[/name] or [name]Lala[/name], which both sound quite adorable with [name]Lottie[/name]!

Thanks for the feedback! I was surprised, but happy to hear that you all don’t think [name]Lottie[/name] ([name]Charlotte[/name]) and [name]Lila[/name] aren’t too similar, or cutesy, for sisters! Any other opinions anyone would care to share about sisters named [name]Lottie[/name] ([name]Charlotte[/name]) and [name]Lila[/name]???

I think [name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] are adorable, especially because you have the option of [name]Charlotte[/name], too. [name]Even[/name] if [name]Lottie[/name] was a given name, I wouldn’t see it as a problem. Re: a pp saying that her parents sometimes mixed her and her sister’s names up, I do that with my boys on occasion, and their names are nothing alike! I wouldn’t worry about that issue if you love the names. Best of luck!
