[name]Matteo[/name] or [name]Jameson[/name]…My husband only likes [name]Jameson[/name] but I feel with some prompting he may start to like [name]Matteo[/name] too. i think he feels that [name]Matteo[/name] might sound too " ethnic" to use but I’m half Italian so why not? I love both names and I cant decide…what do you prefer? I already have an [name]Isaac[/name].
I like [name]Jamison[/name], but only with that spelling. Spelled “[name]Jameson[/name]”, I associate it with Irish whisky. Something about it seems oddly unnatural, too, since the “e” is not typically what we’d use in English with similar names ([name]Madison[/name], not Madeson, etc).
[name]Matteo[/name] is a lovely name, too. I was good friends with a [name]Matthew[/name] who started to go by [name]Matteo[/name] at university, and everyone really loved it. It obviously stands out more than [name]Matthew[/name], but it doesn’t feel over-the-top. It’s short and very familiar. I definitely prefer it to [name]Jamison[/name]. I mean, all names are ethnic, but [name]Matteo[/name] does feel less Western European in origin for sure, but reassure the husband that it’s rising in popularity/rank, and doesn’t sound exotic so much as quirky.
I have an older cousin named [name]Jamison[/name], and it’s very handsome on him. Strikes me as slightly dated, but maybe only in the black community.
Hello, both your name choices sound really nice. I would choose [name]Jamison[/name] (I agree with the alternative spelling) as it goes well with [name]Isaac[/name] and it sounds strong but still interesting and individual.
I like them both! [name]How[/name] about [name]Matteo[/name] [name]Jameson[/name]? It’s difficult to pick just one since they both sound good with [name]Isaac[/name]. Though I’m slightly partial to [name]Matteo[/name].
I suggest using both of them too. Except I like [name]Jameson[/name] [name]Matteo[/name].
With [name]Isaac[/name], I prefer the more unusual [name]Matteo[/name]. I like the fact that both boys would have a name with a double letter contained in it. [name]Jameson[/name] just seems overly serious and more predictable with [name]Isaac[/name] whereas the spunky [name]Matteo[/name] lightens up the sibset a bit.
I am another in favor of [name]Matteo[/name] [name]Jameson[/name], and strongly agree with everything that mischa wrote.
With [name]Isaac[/name] I would suggest [name]Matthias[/name]. I agree that [name]Matteo[/name] is a bit ethnic, especially beside [name]Isaac[/name].
[name]Jameson[/name] sounds so much more trendy than [name]Isaac[/name].
I’m just adding my vote to what’s already been said, but:
[name]Matteo[/name]! [name]Jameson[/name] is quite trendy. My first thought was also to suggest [name]Matthias[/name] (good call @kala_way!).
