Yes/No? [name]Love[/name]/Hate? First/Middle? Nicknames? Thoughts? Opinions? Thanks
The [name]Romeo[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] connection would be too much for me. As for nicknames, I’d probably just go with the obvious: [name]Ty[/name].
I used to have a cat named [name]Tybalt[/name], he was called “[name]King[/name] of the Cats”
As far as a human name, I think its great.
Too [name]Romeo[/name] & [name]Juliet[/name], I think [name]Thibault[/name] is a better choice.
This, it also makes me think of “Tyrant” and “bald” so it’s just a negative name for me.
I do like the nickname of [name]Ty[/name]/[name]Tye[/name].

I’m reading a book right now with a character named [name]Tybalt[/name] I kinda like it. He goes by the nn Tibber, so I pronounce [name]Tybalt[/name] with the same short i sound. Not sure if that’s right, but it was my first instinct. The character is a crazy old man, but fun. It is maybe a little clunky, but definitely distinctive
He could always use [name]Ty[/name] as an easy, “normal” nick name.
[name]Tybalt[/name] as a middle name!
wouldn’t recommend it as a first, no problems with it really as a middle.
Oops, the character in my book has the spelling [name]Tibalt[/name], so that is probably why I pronounce it with the short i sound.
Whether it’s [name]Tybalt[/name] or [name]Tibalt[/name], TIB-alt is the prn used in the UK.
amberdaydream: I have never heard [name]Tybalt[/name] actually used in the US. Does it get used more often in the UK? What’s the general impression of the name over there? Thanks!
This is the only name I’ve ever fallen in love with, that I actually try to talk myself out of loving. I don’t want to like it! And yet… I just can’t shake my fondness for it. [name]Tybalt[/name]! It’s short, sharp, fun to say… and strikes me as dashing and mysterious. If it weren’t for the [name]Romeo[/name] & [name]Juliet[/name] association, it’d probably be at the top of my boy’s list.
