My mom is in town visiting… we have already announced the baby name to all of family (and I have ordered personalized onsies for her, with the name [name]Caroline[/name]), and my mom kept saying “aw, but a sweet [name]Grace[/name] would be so cute with your other girls”… by the end of the day… I was starting to wonder if I should have went with hubby’s first and Original favorite, [name]Grace[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] I was hoping to shake it over night, but this morning, I was still thinking… maybe we should go with [name]Grace[/name] “[name]Gracie[/name]”…UGH!!! So, [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name] OR [name]Grace[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] (I am now going to have to put [name]Augusta[/name] in somewhere, as hubby’s side of the family is so thrilled we are using it (It was hubby’s grandmother’s name)… Our other girls are [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Kelsey[/name]-[name]Rose[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name], [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], [name]Serena[/name] and __________

Personally I really enjoy [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. A stunning combo definitely. But I understand that you’re wishing you could use grace too. My best Compromise is [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. Still sounds nice, and your husband could fondly call her [name]Gracie[/name] too. But if [name]Jane[/name] was important, then I would stick with your original combo. It’s a gorgeous name!
First of all, I wouldn’t choose [name]Grace[/name], because as a one syllable name, it just sounds too abrupt at the end of your other girls’ names.
Secondly, [name]Caroline[/name] is a wonderful name that sounds lovely with your other girls.
Thirdly, your mom does not get to name your child.
I prefer [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name], but if there’s some reason to use [name]Grace[/name], other than the fact that your mom likes it, [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Grace[/name] works nicely.

I love [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name] because that’s MY style. I think either [name]Caroline[/name] or [name]Grace[/name] could fit with your girls. Would you feel comfortable waiting to meet her before you decide?
No no no. You must stick with [name]Caroline[/name]. No wheedling or manipulation should be able to convince you that [name]Grace[/name] is better than [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. That is an amazing name. Seriously, amazing. Amazing! And there are no nicknames for [name]Grace[/name]. [name]Caroline[/name] wins across the board. You’ve already got the onesies! At that point, everyone else needs to learn to keep their mouth shut. The onesies have been purchased. Too late. You’re stuck with a perfect name.
Well, I love the idea of [name]Grace[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] for you, personally, I mean, the idea of you with a [name]Gracie[/name] has really grown on me and I think it’d be adorable. That being said, you guys obviously really love [name]Caroline[/name], too, so I don’t know. And [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is beautiful. I am with @brigid16 - could you wait until she arrives, and see if she’s more of a [name]Grace[/name] or a [name]Caroline[/name]? If you had not doubted it until your mother mentioned [name]Grace[/name], I would stick with your original combo! It really is stunning, in my opinion.

But I do prefer [name]Caroline[/name] over [name]Grace[/name] to begin with, so that may be clouding my opinion
Funny to see this because I was thinking about your name choice last night and I was thinking I’m so surprised she didn’t pick [name]Grace[/name] so her hubby could have his [name]Gracie[/name].

Sorry to hear you’ve been made to doubt this name for your daughter to be…I vote that you stick to your guns and keep the name that you and your husband have chosen. Plus, it goes wonderfully with your other children’s names! 
I love the name [name]Caroline[/name]. I think it is awesome with your other girls I always had doubts when someone questioned my name… but I always went back to the original if it was right!
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is stunning, and i think it goes with your others kids’s names much better than [name]Grace[/name]. [name]Grace[/name] is nice, but its so popular and works better as a middle imo. Its not too late to change but i wouldn’t if i were you, you might really regret it. [name]Just[/name] remember, you considered [name]Grace[/name] originally and decided against it for various good reasons. You are really good at this naming business, trust your judgement and don’t let yourself be swayed!
Well, my two main factors against [name]Grace[/name] were:
- My third daughter has [name]Grace[/name] in her name (it is her second middle), while that wasn’t a “deal breaker” it was a factor.
- I am not crazy about the flow of [name]Grace[/name] with our Last name… which starts with the “S” sound… that was a bigger factor for me the names just seem to run together).
Thanks I think as a name lover, there is just always a little something there in the back of my head… lol!!!

I feel much better having the name chosen before hand.

I’d be curious to see what your husband says. Either way, I hope you can get it sorted soon!

[name]Grace[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name] are both lovely classic names, but you already used the name [name]Grace[/name] for a middle name, right? I don’t think you should reuse it, especially since you have an alternative that is equally sweet and goes just as well with your other daughters’ names.
