I must admit, I like [name]Persephone[/name] a little more than [name]Romilly[/name] as a whole name, but it is a mouthful! I don’t really see any good nicknames from it either. [name]Romilly[/name] sounds much more useable day-to-day, and also give the option of [name]Romy[/name] or [name]Milly[/name] as nns. So, I must conclude that I like [name]Romilly[/name] better! [name]Persephone[/name] and [name]Azalea[/name] do sound beautiful together, but [name]Romilly[/name] is still my pick.
[name]Persephone[/name] is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. I prefer it over [name]Romilly[/name], because I really don’t like surnames as first names, but I think [name]Romilly[/name] might be a little easier to live with…
I do think [name]Persephone[/name] goes a lot better with [name]Azalea[/name] than [name]Romilly[/name].
hmm…well then that solves my problem with it! I don’t think you’d be going wrong either way, so just go with what you feel and don’t think about it! Maybe you could keep both as options until you meet her. =).
I love [name]Persephone[/name] with [name]Azalea[/name]! Personally, I prefer it over [name]Romilly[/name] because I think that [name]Azalea[/name] and [name]Persephone[/name] are equally feminine…
[name]Just[/name] for fun, other nicknames for [name]Persephone[/name]:
[name]Percy[/name]
[name]Sophie[/name] (quite a stretch)
[name]Nia[/name]
[name]Romilly[/name] sounds too harsh to be paired with [name]Azalea[/name]. I think [name]Persephone[/name], with its melodious vowel sounds, is a much better fit.
I too prefer [name]Persephone[/name] over [name]Romilly[/name], but [name]Romilly[/name] always makes me think of [name]Romola[/name] which I think is awsome!.
I also have to mention that although a lot of the nickname suggestions made for [name]Persephone[/name] are good, [name]Posy[/name] is still the best! I think it has much the same style as [name]Persephone[/name], and is more feminine than both [name]Perry[/name] and [name]Percy[/name]. [name]POSY[/name]!
Alright, DH and I have talked and talked. I think we’re going with [name]Persephone[/name]! I love it and just have a really good feeling in my gut about it. (A good sign? Maybe she named herself…) Onto middle names! Thanks so much ladies!
I think that [name]Persephone[/name] and [name]Azalea[/name] are absolutely perfect together! What kind of middle names do you want? Or are you going to start another thread on that topic…?
Also, I thought of another nickname for [name]Persephone[/name]-- [name]Poppy[/name]! I noticed that you had [name]Romilly[/name] Poppea [name]Loren[/name], so you may like this as a nickname…
I think [name]Persephone[/name] is a great compliment to [name]Azalea[/name], and long as you are aware that many people won’t know how to pronounce the name (per-seph-oh-nee vs. per-suh-phone). I love its soft, exotic charm and the fact that both subtly relate to nature. Good choice!
Thanks, [name]Cecily[/name] and [name]Lemon[/name]! We’re still hammering out mn options, but I’ll keep you guys posted!
[name]Rollo[/name], while I always appreciate constructive criticism (I took [name]Lemon[/name]'s opinion on [name]Romilly[/name] and [name]Azalea[/name] to heart), there is something condescending about your tone that I don’t appreciate. And [name]Xanthe[/name] sounds like an antidepressant.
