Does anyone know where you can find out how popular a name is in the UK? The Top 100 is pretty easy to find but I can’t find anything after that. It’s driving me potty!:mad:
Can only find lists from 2011. Surely they must update with 2012 soon

If you want the original data, go to ONS [[name]Link[/name]] and put in ‘baby names’. I love this website You have to download the Excel spreadsheets for girls and boys but it shows you every name given to 3 or more babies since 1996, with 2012 data coming out this summer I believe. Another spreadsheet shows you the top 100 names every 10 years from 1904-1994. But this is just [name]England[/name] and [name]Wales[/name].
For [name]Scotland[/name]: GRO [name]Scotland[/name] [[name]Link[/name]] Going on to ‘List of Detailed Tables’ gives you the top 100s, but also (Table 4/5) every name given that year.
For N. [name]Ireland[/name]: NISRA [[name]Link[/name]] I don’t think this is as comprehensive as [name]Scotland[/name] or E&W, but I haven’t explored it much yet.
