UK nameberries- your experience of Delilah

I have long loved the name [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], but I worry about its growing popularity. So my question to you britberries- have you been seeing a lot of little [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]'s popping up around you? What’s the general feel you would get from hearing the name- just ‘another [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]’ or sweet and distinct?

Thanks!

I’ve never met a [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] of any age, though I do meet plenty of [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]/Lylas so if you were going to shorten it to that then it might feel a lot more popular. I think it’s a sweet, sunny, musical name.

I’m English and I’ve never come across a [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]. I love the name, it’s so musical like the PP above said.

I’ve also never met a [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], but I have met a fair few girls named [name_f]Lilah[/name_f]/[name_f]Lila[/name_f], so it depends on if you nickname/what you would use (I like [name_f]Della[/name_f] for [name_f]Delilah[/name_f]).
I think [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is gorgeous, just the right balance between fun and solid - great name!

Thanks very much, this is very encouraging! As far as nicknames go, out favourites are [name_f]Lula[/name_f] or [name_f]Della[/name_f] so would avoid the [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] issue.
Thanks everyone!

I’ve never met a [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], I think its really sweet. Makes me think of the Plain White T’s song.
