I’ve read quite a few articles about gender prediction on 8 week or earlier ultrasounds, saying you can predict accurately what your baby’s gender will be by the placement of the fetus. Studies say that if the fetus is more to the right of the uterus it’s usually a male and left is usually a girl. I was curious if any of you can say this was true with you ultrasounds. Thanks.
In both my 12week scans (which was the earliest i one had), the babies where whizzing around all over the place so i really don’t think you could judge anything by placement. Maybe an ultrasound technician would disagree but they didn’t look like they were ‘placed’ anywhere in particular! I think the placement of the placenta is random depending on where the embryo implants.
Nope, at this time the research and peer-review isn’t there to back it up. I’m talking about respected, indexed journals.
I was told by a high-risk ob/gyn that you can’t even see the placenta that early.
Frustrating, I know! It’s hard to wait!
Dang it! Okay thanks guys for your feedback nice to hear real responses
