In the [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names forum, there are more than a few threads–seemingly innocent–from 2012. They’ve been commented on recently, and they’re closed. Does every old thread get this? If not, what happened?
Ok, here’s what happened. Someone had been going round resurrecting these ‘franken-threads’ by commenting on them. This then bumps them up the list to the top of the page, knocking the recent (and on occasion, more pressing) questions further down the list where they remain unnoticed. I’ve spoken to the person doing it and asked them to stop. I was also the one who closed the threads. It’ll take a while before they all drift back down into the bowels of Nameberry again.
Basically, if you see a thread from as far back at 2012, don’t reply to it.
Okay. Thank you.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] doin’ my job, maam. salutes
Unless it’s an ongoing thread that is still relevant (like a game or the one where I keep track of our children’s names), or the OP is the one who bumped it (since the subject may be of interest to them again).
Yeah, there are exceptions.
