[name_f]Una[/name_f] is interesting! Definitely not common, but still pretty. The only thing I wonder is if the name [name_f]Una[/name_f], is a little too close to Uno? It might not be the worst nickname in the world but its just something to think about. From your list I like,
For some reason i find [name_f]Una[/name_f] somewhat unattractive. Its not a bad name at all, i just dont like how it looks. To my eyes [name_f]Oona[/name_f] looks better.

[name_f]Una[/name_f] sounds kind of like a dog name- which sucks because I think its such a pretty name!

I would go for a less unusual but not too popular middle such as [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Florence[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u]
oh and by the way I prefer the [name_f]Una[/name_f] spelling to [name_f]Oona[/name_f], [name_f]Oona[/name_f] is 100% dog to me whereas [name_f]Una[/name_f] seems more elegant
@hannahcarmeen - I donāt mind Uno as a nickname, itās not really intuitive to me. I think an [name_f]Una[/name_f] would more likely become Uni(e) and then the association with sea urchins might be a bit odd.
@bellerose - Thatās funny. For me itās the oppositeāI think [name_f]Oona[/name_f] looks odd.
@emmievis - Iāve never thought of [name_f]Una[/name_f] as a dog name, thatās interesting.
I have some misgivings about [name_f]Una[/name_f], because of the fact that it could be misunderstood or bring confusion to people who speak Spanish, since it sounds so much like āunoā. I think the meaning of [name_f]Una[/name_f] is really what lends it its charm but I donāt know if I could ever warm up to its minimalistic sound.
I love [name_f]Una[/name_f]. I think of the character from [name_u]Legend[/name_u] but her name was spelled [name_f]Oona[/name_f]. āA fairyās heart beats fierce and free!ā
Okay, first of all: I really like [name_f]Una[/name_f]! Iām a huge fan of [name_f]Luna[/name_f], so [name_f]Una[/name_f] really isnāt that far off. With that said, Iām more likely to name a child [name_f]Luna[/name_f] than [name_f]Una[/name_f]! You have quite a few [name_m]French[/name_m]-inspired names. Usually, those are some of my favorites, but for some reason I didnāt love them with [name_f]Una[/name_f].

[name_f]Una[/name_f] [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] - a little too vowel-repetitive for my tastes, but both beautiful names.
[name_f]Una[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - same feelings as [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], although this one is slightly better for me.
[name_f]Una[/name_f] Wildflower - unique, along the same lines as ā[name_f]Meadow[/name_f],ā but I prefer the latter. I love the idea of this name, but I donāt know how wearable it would be. Slightly too hippy for my tastes.

Iām definitely the minority here on nameberry, but I really dislike [name_f]Una[/name_f] and especially [name_f]Oona[/name_f]. It just doesnāt seem like a name to me. Idk how to explain it.
