Uncommon Biblical Names for a Story

I’m writing a story loosely based on the [name]Mary[/name] Winkler (an allegedly abused preacher’s wife who shot her husband) case but I’m having some trouble coming up with names for the preacher’s daughters. Obviously they have to be biblical, but I don’t want the obvious [name]Rachel[/name], [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], [name]Mary[/name], [name]Naomi[/name], etc, names. That being said, I’m not looking for hardcore Aramaic names either. So far I’ve been able to come up with [name]Shiloh[/name], [name]Salome[/name], [name]Dinah[/name] and [name]Delilah[/name], but I’d like to have a wider variety of names (ideally those that don’t just start with S or D) to choose from. Any suggestions?

Cana
[name]Tabitha[/name]
[name]Selah[/name]
[name]Sarai[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Tamar[/name]

[name]Persis[/name]
[name]Magdalen[/name]
[name]Orpah[/name]
[name]Esther[/name]
[name]Chloe[/name]
[name]Saphira[/name]
[name]Hannah[/name]
[name]Noel[/name]/[name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Emmanuelle[/name]
Good luck!

No preacher would use [name]Delilah[/name] or Saphirra (terrible biblical examples). Probably not [name]Tamar[/name], either…

You could use [name]Deborah[/name], [name]Noa[/name] (it appears as a girl’s name in the book of Numbers. She’s kind of a woman’s rights activist.), [name]Zipporah[/name], [name]Keziah[/name], [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Joanna[/name], [name]Susannah[/name]…

What kind of angle are you taking with your story?
