I’m due in 3 weeks and can’t decide on a baby name for our boy. I love the name [name_u]Roux[/name_u], but hubby hates it. He loves the name [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], but I don’t like it. I know of 10 babies or more named [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and don’t want a common name. Up until a couple of weeks ago, we had decided on the name [name_m]Saint[/name_m]. Then I started liking the name [name_u]Roux[/name_u] and only want that name. I’d appreciate any uncommon boy or unisex name suggestions please!

I thought of [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] for you also. It’s a little more approachable than other uncommon names, but has that spunky feel to it like [name_u]Roux[/name_u]. I was just looking at the name [name_m]Eero[/name_m] (pronounced [name_m]Arrow[/name_m]) and thought that sounded very cool. [name_m]Even[/name_m] [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] is a cool name, I have it on my list myself.
I love [name_u]Roux[/name_u], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is also cute.

I also thought of the poet [name_f]Rumi[/name_f], seems like that would be an interesting and unusual namesake that might appeal to you? Or [name_u]Remi[/name_u]?
I’m surprised you know so many Arlos! [name_m]Eero[/name_m] seems like a cool alternative, I also thought of [name_m]Errol[/name_m], [name_m]Marlon[/name_m], [name_m]Otto[/name_m], and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
Maybe something like [name_u]Beau[/name_u] would be a good middle ground between [name_u]Roux[/name_u] and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]?
[name_m]Saint[/name_m] is uncommon in terms of how many there are, but because it is a high-profile celebrity baby name, I don’t think it really comes across as uncommon since it’s likely to be familiar to many people.
Good luck reaching a compromise. I think between [name_u]Roux[/name_u] and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] you can arrive at a really great name that meets in the middle

I must have been living under a rock for not knowing [name_m]Saint[/name_m] was a Kardashian name :eek: This baby was conceived in [name_m]Saint[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_f]Jamaica[/name_f], so that was why we liked that name. But no offense on the Kardashians, but I really don’t want a name that’s associated with them. The baby is arriving in a little over 2 weeks, so Hubby and I have decided to make a name decision this weekend. We will look over all the names you’ve suggested and see if we can come to a decision on one. Thanks again everyone!
