[name_f]My[/name_f] style seems to shift towards gender neutral more and more as I get older and I’m loving this style of middle name for my more feminine girl names that don’t work with the genderless uncommon word names. I will absolutely be keeping some of these in mind for boys, but my boy style tends to lean soft anyways so I don’t know if I see myself needing feminine names to balance super masculine boy names the same way I might need masculine names to balance super feminine girls.
To get a list started, I’ve been experimenting with Somerled as a girl middle. Any other ideas for uncommon, fantasy boy names for girls what aren’t words? Thanks!

Emrys! I have mutual acquaintances with a woman named [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] and I think it would work on a girl, and it feels very fantasy-ish. Also you could do [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] or Peregrine! I like Somerled.

I just thought of Ferris. It fits the softer sounding, unusual, slightly magical vibe of Somerled. But I’m not sure if you’d count Ferris as a word name?
There’s also Somerset, which may also feel a bit wordy.
