I don’t think I’d actually use this, but what do you guys think of the name Calluna? It seems like it fits in so well but I’ve never heard it used before. It’s the botanical name for heather, so it would be great to honor a heather, plus has the cute nicknames of [name_f]Callie[/name_f], [name_f]Lulu[/name_f], or [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. Opinions?
I think its cute, not too girly, but not boyish sounding.
And the nickname [name_f]Luna[/name_f], but not the other two you put. Maybe [name_f]Lily[/name_f]?
I like Calluna though, it sounds Hawaiian and its like the female version of Callum.
I was at school with a Calluna!
I think it’s very pretty and, as you say, the perfect fits-in-stands-out choice.
I don’t really like the way it sounds but it’s a fine name.
I love Calluna, and I’ve had her on my list for ages. She doesn’t have any downsides in my opinion, except a personal one for me. I actually have a friend called [name_f]Heather[/name_f], but I wouldn’t be intending to honour her with Calluna. Calluna is definitely a name most won’t have heard before, but it’s easy to say, spell, and feels usable and accessible.
