What I know for sure: my future daughter’s last name will begin with a Z, and her middle name will be [name_f]Patricia[/name_f].
We’re currently waffling on names (actually, we probably won’t truly pick one until we meet her), but that doesn’t mean we don’t have preferences; I am leaning strongly towards [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f].
However, someone pointed out that her initials would with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] would be PPZ/PP/PZ depending on which initials you’re looking at. They aren’t really that big of a deal to me, and two of my sisters who are still teenagers have said repeatedly that kids don’t generally get teased for their names/initials anymore–there’s just so much variation now–but adults tend to notice and tease about these things, short of being complete bullies.
If I were to include my maiden as a second middle, as I have done with my own name, her initials would be PPPZ. Lots of Ps in this family.
I feel very naive and stupid that I have to ask, but what is the significance of the inititials/acronym PZ or PPZ. I have no clue what you’re concerned about with these initials…
I honestly don’t see these initials as a problem. I would never have seen any of those initials out in the real world and thought that they had teasing potential either. I’m even a little unsure of how one would tease ‘PZ’? Is it because it sounds like ‘peasy’?
As for when she’s in school, I doubt most kids would even know her middle name unless she tells them.
I would only try to avoid certain initials if they actually spelled out something highly offensive or tease-worthy like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Selena[/name_f] [name_m]Simpson[/name_m] or [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Callista[/name_f] Kroger… lol
So I don’t think there is anything to worry about here

I wouldnt worry all that much. My name is [name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] [name_m]Sol[/name_m]-[name_u]Britt[/name_u] ([name_f]Noelle[/name_f]) [name_m]Stewart[/name_m], my initials are ASS. I dont get teased much at all
Likewise. I absolutely have no idea what the issue is. Does PZ stand for something I don’t know about? Am I missing something? I just asked my husband and he is clueless too.
I think you’ll be absolutely fine with those initials.
I don’t see the big deal. PP isn’t ideal I suppose, but how often are first and middle initials used? Literally, never. Almost nobody will know her middle name. Her initials will be PZ or PPZ whenever written out.
I’m so glad to see that I’m not the only one who sees nothing terribly wrong with these initials. The person who pointed out the initials was referring to “PP” or “PZ” as in “pee-pee” or “pees,” like, urinating.
