[name_m]Hi[/name_m]~
We are expecting Boy #2 in a couple months and I am SPLIT between these names. Big brother is [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], a name we [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] but wish it wasn’t getting so popular nowadays. I have a very unique first name, so I like the idea of having a name that is a bit different where there won’t be many multiples in his classes. Thing is, I also want a name that people can pronounce and spell with relative ease, as I didn’t have that growing up;) Our last name starts with a b and ends with a k, so I would prefer that the first name didn’t start with B.
Here are the top contenders:
[name_m]Griffin[/name_m]: My mom LOVES this name, as does my son, but I’ve heard it around lately more and more. I like the nn Grif better than [name_u]Finn[/name_u] ([name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] is a little too Glee character)
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m]: I think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] sounds pretty adorable. I haven’t heard it much at all, but worry it is too ‘out there’. I do like how it sounds, though
[name_u]Chase[/name_u]/[name_m]Kase[/name_m]/: My husband really likes [name_u]Chase[/name_u]. I had thought about ‘[name_u]Jace[/name_u]’ for a while, but with the Duck Dynasty trend, we ruled it out. I also like ‘[name_m]Kase[/name_m]’ but it might just get mistaken for [name_u]Chase[/name_u] all the time anyway. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is pretty common, so I am still looking for names that have similar sounds without being in the Top 100
I love [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]. 2nd choice would be [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. I’m not a fan of [name_m]Kase[/name_m]/[name_u]Chase[/name_u]. I wouldn’t use [name_u]Jace[/name_u] either because it’s the name of one of the babies from Teen Mom 2. It has been growing in popularity from that show too.
Another vote for [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]. [name_u]Jace[/name_u] and all its ilk are becoming massively popular. [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] is a perfectly good name, but with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], I prefer [name_m]Hayes[/name_m].
We are also having boy #2 in may and are considering [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], but a family friend used it so we are still thinking about it. Any ways, our sons name is [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]!
I love [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]! Sounds great with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. I like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] as well, but it sounds a bit similar to [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] (2-syllables and phonetically similar endings), so that would be my 2nd choice.
I don’t really like [name_u]Chase[/name_u] and I strongly dislike [name_m]Kase[/name_m]/[name_u]Jace[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] & [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] are all classic/handsome/upscale-sounding and [name_m]Kase[/name_m]/[name_u]Jace[/name_u] (in my opinion) come across as a little juvenile/trendy.
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m] would be my pick from your three options,
Instead of [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], have you considered [name_m]Gordon[/name_m], [name_m]Garth[/name_m], [name_m]Gifford[/name_m], or [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]?
Instead of [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], have you considered [name_m]Heath[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], or [name_m]Hardy[/name_m]?
Instead of [name_u]Chase[/name_u], have you considered [name_u]Cade[/name_u], [name_m]Cash[/name_m], Or [name_m]Cole[/name_m]?
Out of the top contenders, I personally like [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] because that’s my cousin’s middle name. But another unique name that I love is [name_m]Jefferson[/name_m].
I prefer [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] would be my second choice. It just doesn’t sound like it means anything or is rooted in anything… And I don’t really like [name_u]Chase[/name_u].
I would go for [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]. It’s a great name and sounds great next to [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. I only know one [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], and his nickname is [name_m]Griff[/name_m]
I think [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] sounds the best with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. I don’t care for [name_u]Chase[/name_u]. Not really sure how I feel about [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]?
I like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], but as the rest said, [name_u]Jace[/name_u] is too popular if you’re looking for unique. [name_u]Jace[/name_u] was a main character in City of Bones, that came out last fall.
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]! I don’t think it’s too out there at all. One of my good friends is called [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] and it seems perfectly normal, albeit not über popular.
