Unique, different yet traditional - HELP!!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all

I’m looking for a unique name for our first child as I don’t want him to be one of five or six with the same name in his class.

However my partner would like something traditional so am limited with options!

[name_f]My[/name_f] current favourites are:

[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
[name_u]Freddie[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]
[name_m]Morrissey[/name_m]
[name_m]Woody[/name_m]

Any thoughts on these or other suggestions would be appreciated!

(UK based)

I live in the UK too:)
how about giving him a traditional name with unique or not so popular nicknames? Like [name_m]Amos[/name_m] with the nickname [name_m]Moss[/name_m] or [name_m]Charles[/name_m] with the nickname [name_m]Chaz[/name_m], [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] could be good with te nickname [name_u]Freddie[/name_u]. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is quite traditional but the nicknames [name_m]Zander[/name_m], [name_f]Zandie[/name_f] and [name_u]Lex[/name_u] aren’t.
There are tonnes of names like this
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps you out, good luck finding a name x

I would stay away from [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] if popularity is a factor for you as it is rapidly climbing in the UK.

I think @ariadnejuna’s idea of using a quirky nickname with a traditional full name is great or what about:

[name_u]Stanley[/name_u]
[name_u]Seth[/name_u]
[name_m]Eric[/name_m]
[name_m]Robert[/name_m]
[name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]

[name_m]Walter[/name_m]/[name_m]Walt[/name_m]
[name_m]Harlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m]/[name_m]Will[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_u]Billy[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u]/[name_m]Jimmy[/name_m], [name_u]Jem[/name_u]

I’m UK based too
[name_m]How[/name_m] about:

[name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilfred[/name_m] (nn wilf is adorable)
[name_u]Keats[/name_u]
[name_m]Lance[/name_m]
[name_m]Euan[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]

All your names are great, I’m not keen on [name_m]Woody[/name_m] but only because I know two dogs called that. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] but @whirligig is right, it’s getting popular.

xx

[name_m]Woody[/name_m] is just lovely! I like [name_u]Freddy[/name_u] very much but ditto that others said, it is climbing up.

*sorry, [name_u]Freddie[/name_u].

I love [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]! Masculine and known but not very popular unless you’re in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f].
