What do you guys think of the names [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_m]Loghan[/name_m], and [name_m]Oswin[/name_m] for a girl name? Middle or first, doesn’t matter.
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] definitely works for a girl however [name_m]Loghan[/name_m] and [name_m]Oswin[/name_m] are clearly boys names to me. I think there’s a few boys names that work for girls but these don’t sound even a bit feminine to ME, so I wouldn’t use them for girls.
However if you love them so much, I’d put them in the middle spot.
Not a fan. There are so many strong, feminine names for girls that I feel are far better for a female.
I have [name_u]Logan[/name_u] on my list too! I love it! “[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f]”…<3
Some others I like are…
Cody Elle
Ryan Shea
Avery Kaye
Reese Carter
Sawyer Blanche
honestly…I wouldnt be too concerned about using a “boyish” name for a girl or vice versa…look back in history and see how many names that were originally meant for boys that are now commonly worn by girls. I do think, however, it is important to pair it with a feminine middle name.
I like Lohgan. [name_m]Oswin[/name_m] is alright. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] I think of as a nn.
[name_m]Oswin[/name_m], like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_m]Oswald[/name_m] from [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] Who, [name_m]Oswald[/name_m] for the win! I think the only name I don’t like on a girl is [name_m]Loghan[/name_m] from the names you mentioned
I think these are too boyish for a girl. Other unisex/boy names that are more feminine you might like:
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_u]Hayden[/name_u]
[name_u]Cameron[/name_u]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
I know or have heard of girls with these names
[name_m]Oswin[/name_m] is not my taste. [name_m]Loghan[/name_m] is ok, but I knew a girl named [name_u]Logan[/name_u] once, she was a really big snob. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is alright. I love many unisex or boy’s names on girls:
[name_u]August[/name_u], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], [name_u]Leighton[/name_u], [name_u]Devon[/name_u], [name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_u]Dominique[/name_u]

[name_u]Jordan[/name_u]
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]/[name_u]Tobi[/name_u]/[name_m]Tobiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_m]Park[/name_m]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_f]Lark[/name_f], [name_u]Larkin[/name_u]
[name_u]Quincy[/name_u], [name_m]Quinlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m], [name_u]Cade[/name_u], [name_m]Cyprus[/name_m], [name_m]Cyrus[/name_m]

Thanks for all the replies! I was just curious what people thought. Funny thing is, I got all 3 of them from GIRL characters on tv shows/movies, etc.
I think they are all [name_f]LOVELY[/name_f] for girls. I think if you can name a boy “[name_u]Ashley[/name_u]” without a second glance, then these are fine for a girl.
I agree they should be placed with some more frilly/feminine names with them though!
<3 thanks! I agree completely! People are so concerned that they “sound too much like a boy name”. It’s not like I’m saying name a girl Joshua or Jacob or Michael or something. Those are still clearly boy names to me.
yes like from DW!
I fell in [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] with [name_m]Oswin[/name_m], the moment I heard it! <3
Where’d you get [name_m]Loghan[/name_m] from? When I hear [name_u]Logan[/name_u] I think of [name_u]Logan[/name_u] Lerman. [name_m]Oswin[/name_m] belongs to [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but I see it as a surname (even though it’s not) and these are mostly boys names to me.
But it might be due to the fact that I don’t know any girl with a boy name because where I live either girls names or unisex names with a girl middle name are allowed for girls (vice [name_f]Versa[/name_f] for boys). And [name_u]Logan[/name_u] and [name_m]Oswin[/name_m] would clearly be boys names.
[name_u]Logan[/name_u] was from a movie I watched as a child. And it is escaping me now… but if you click on [name_u]Logan[/name_u] and scroll down, you will see it is indeed also a girl name.
What do you mean by “[name_m]Oswin[/name_m] belongs to [name_f]Clara[/name_f]”? It goes well with it, yeah, and it is from DW. But I’d use it differently.
Yes [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] is traditionally masculine but I doubt even the parents who do pick it for a boy would do so without thinking hard about it.
