We are expecting a little girl. We had picked out the name [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] when we were pregnant the first time but ended up with a boy ([name_f]Cleo[/name_f]).
I still like the name [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] but cannot think of anything to pair it with for a middle name. I’d love for it to be a unisex name ending in an ie but I’m open to all opinions. Thoughts?
Our last name is [name_u]Day[/name_u].
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Sydnie[/name_f] or [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_u]Billie[/name_u] would be my favourite ie one but I think [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] looks more balanced (still has the same sound ending though), there’s also [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jessie[/name_u] and lots of other ey names that can be replaced with ie ([name_u]Briley[/name_u]/[name_u]Brilie[/name_u])
[name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]? I only ask because I say “[name_u]DAY[/name_u]-lee-ah” like the flower, and I’m not sure how well that works with your surname.
Interesting that you chose [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] for your son! It’s a lovely name.
