I’d like to announce the arrival of my first daughter, [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], born on Friday [name_f]April[/name_f] 13th 2018 at 5:34pm via emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] was born at 32+3 weeks gestation, but she has been very strong from the start! I am off on a slower start to recovery, but we are both well.
Some say that Friday the 13th is unlucky, but so far it has proven lucky for us as we got together on a Friday the 13th, and now we’ve had our strong little girl on one!
As much as I am over the moon with her name and her arrival, naming her was somewhat anticlimactic and not at all how I ever imagined all of these years! We had narrowed our girl choices down to [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], or [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], and me being one of the only people to think bubs was a girl was pretty certain that she’d be [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] if she was a girl.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] was my SO’s preference, and once bubs was born and I found out she was a girl, I just felt like she was an [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and then when I saw her for the first time, it was meant to be.
I had decided that I wanted to use [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] as I love the name itself, and being a big HP fan, loved it for that reason, but knew there was no chance of us ever using it as a first name for that reason. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is just a name we both liked that doesn’t really work with our surname, and we planned on two middles, so there we go. ” I don’t believe it’s the perfect name in terms of flow and etc, but it’s the perfect name for my daughter and I’m happy we didn’t spend hours or days or weeks deciding her name.
Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that things didn’t go quite as expected with her birth, but I’m so happy you guys are doing well! Sounds like both of you are fighters her name is absolutely perfect and fits her already strong personality well! Congratulations!
Congratulations! She has a beautiful name! I’m sorry to hear that you had a slightly difficult birth but I’m sure you’ll both recover quickly, as @namergirl3 said it sounds like both of you are fighters!
